I remember the sherbet cones that had a surprise figure on the top of the handle. In our neighborhood, if you got the one with the horse standing on its hind quarters you got free ice cream. Great job bringing back those memories Brian!

A yummy write! Then it rained... and they all dashed indoors, and the ice cream van was no where to be seen! heehee. I\'m an old spoilsport.
And \'Feed the birds, tuppence a bag\'. Two quid a bag now, more like! heehee.

They are so great as are these words. Just one disagreement though it was many, many years ago that you could just spend pennies on an ice-cream!

START EACH DAY WITH SINGING ~ A Sonnet
Augustus said:

Oh that hurts, so inciteful, well so obvious. All this time seeking the praise of man, ignoring God. I have been making up for lost years of self absorption. And to enjoy the day, a day given with no strings attached. Freedom to enjoy. This is one of your best.

It\'s a must whenever we are in Italy but you\'ve hit the nail on the head - it always tastes better in country of origin - by the way Italy is our favourite country with such magnificent scenery and architecture - nothing like it anywhere else. love the poem Brian.

PRAYER ~ A BLESSING

Love your poem on prayer. Prayer is personal to each person but I think it\'s awesome that it can be done anytime, anywhere. Especially in times like these! Spiritual hugs--Christina

Forget wine tasting, I\'d like to go to a cheese tasting event! Sounds like a delicious write! I agree with Augustus, our prepackaged cheese is like rubber. Gotta go stop off at the local farms to get the good stuff. Hugs! Christina

We are blessed in the UK with some great cheeses - to hell with the cholesterol - where\'s the pickle? Your poem makes my mouth water. We had a tomato, onion and haloumi salad dressed with quality olive oil, seasoning, balsamic and thyme to accompany our lunch today - sublime!!

We don\'t have great cheeses in the USA. Store shelves are filled with tasteless wedges that look like cheese and pre shredded varieties that have the consistency of rubber.
We do have imports at prohibitive prices. Nor do we have great breads. Wine, bread and cheese is awesome.

PRAYER ~ A BLESSING
Gary Edward Geraci said:

Brian\'s poem mentions \"anywhere and anytime.\" I couldn\'t agree more! One\'s workplace can be a place for daily and continuous prayer to God. Honest work done well can be our gift; our act of worship to the Lord. I am privileged to pray daily with Evangelicals, Catholics, Lutherans, Presbyterian, and many other Christian denominations at my place of employment: the US Government (Department of Agriculture). Prayer is something God doesn\'t need (He\'s not lacking in any area)- when we give it to him, it\'s like a child reaching into his father\'s wallet for a dollar and then gifting it back to him later. Prayer is something we need and we must fully choose to partake in it. Many, many, many people choose not to pray, and pursue selfish interests instead - war , Outback, is the unfortunate outcome and has been part of our fallen condition since the first Fall.
