LOVE ALPHBETICALLY !
Dee said:

Hi Brian,
This poem made me smile from some of the cute lines, I like the style and may well have a go at writing one. Does each line have to begin with the chosen theme as in yours it's 'LOVE IS' or can it be a straight poem but containing each letter of the alphabet...
You mentioned many of the emotions love brings for sure.. but still I'm smiling from ' Perky and Quirky but Ropey (some days !)
Great choice words and clear imagery :) Love it...Smiles and Regards to you...Dee

When we are caged it's called punishment, yet we still cage animals for our own entertainment! A very witty way of conveying the message, really enjoyed it!

Wonderful Sonnet Brian....
Gave me warm tears, always happens when I read of such deep love for the lord.. He has given so much and still giving, yet there are some that still doubt His love ..

PARROTS HAIKOO ~ OOKIAH STORRAP
Dee said:

I so agree Brian, It breaks my heart to see beautiful parrots or any bird caged, and some with hardly enough room to move, truly disgusting.....Your voice came strong in the reading and there is no mistaking your feelings on the subject , the clear imagery of your words and the pic set me off to thinking of all other beautiful creatures that suffer too.. Bravo for making your stand on this one my friend.......Dee

END OF A LOVE AFFAIR !

Stunning events! The markets were decimated. Who knows for how much longer? Other than the US, I wonder what this does in terms of Great Britain's military allies. Trump is grinning like the Cheshire Cat. He thinks this is his springboard into the White House. God help us! Anyway, thanks for sharing Brian.

Wow! An Ode to crushing loneliness. How beautiful and sad all at once. Haven't heard a clarinet solo in a while - very nice. The woman looking longingly at the sea is a nice touch (very effective, but she really needs to move on). Kinda hoped for a miracle ending for the lady but I guess that wouldn't be realistic. Ha! Thx Brian!

I'm curious, were you inspired by the picture? Or did you just find the perfect image to go with your work? I'm often inspired by images or (more often) songs so it's always interesting to see what inspires other people. It's lovely. Thank you for sharing.

Nice, Brian! Just like a picture, a touch is worth a thousand words too. A well placed touch at the right time can make all the difference. Especially if you're not a big talker. Of course, timing is everything when touching a woman's hair. Touch her hair at the wrong time and you may draw back a nub. LOL! But it's all good. Thanks for sharing!

ALIENS TO SAVE PLANET EARTH ! (Close Encounters III) A Rhyming Sonnet
DubbleDhee said:

New Installment Brian? Funny how we always assume aliens are more advanced that us. LOL! We can't even get along with humans. I'm not sure how we can get along with people from other worlds. But it would be interesting to see what happens. I agree our planet is in crisis, but we can't put the genie back in the bottle. Nukes will always be with us. Thx for sharing! DD

Why don't you take a look at planet Venus? It is the most similar planet in our solar system in terms of size and structure to EARTH,but it is the hottest, with the Sun rising in the west and setting in the east.
Whatever caused this, send the population to different planets around the Solar System....
But let's focus in the lives of 2 people...(The rest en prive)

Brian,
You always repeat this, because it was Lord Tennyson who wrote it first in his
"In Memoriam A.H.H."( I love this poem) and I like yours, too.
