A fine write and pic Michael, 14 minutes into the poet-s day on here! (whatever time that is in the UK).

Lovely three lines. Nothing better than a pier over the ocean to look at the stars. Hand in hand with love.

The watercolor, I guess that is what it is, is absolutely beautiful ... I couldn\'t stop looking at it. Not only the detail, but the perspective you employed. Love it, Michael!

I, too, like the middle one a lot, but something about the last one really intrigues me. I\'d have to say it is my favorite of the three. Kudos, Michael! Love the painting too.

An intriguing trio of couplets here Michael - can relate to the middle one as youth is so fleeting. Lovely watercolour too.

Thanks MICHAEL ~ LOVE CYMING RHOUPLETS ~ FOR ME THE ULTIMATE ~ Frugal Poetic Form ~ One Liners (nomally) are non~rhyming. To make COUPLET ONE into Rhyming Couplet (you did not say they rhymed !) I would suggest revision to:
In LIFE he never knew her name
In DEATH she Marble Cast became !
Now polished and with outstretched hand
She acts as an Umbrella Stand
(This couplet is optional ~ of course !)
Yours BRIAN the FUSSY !

Well done, Michael. Sad three couplets! The middle is my favorite. But surely even if youth is gone, there\'s still room for new hopes and dreams!

An interesting observation of myself ... the picture is quite disturbing to me? Creates strong inner anxiety. But then we all knew I was a little strange. Have you seen such a reaction to some of your work before, Michael? Curious. Love the cute limerick!

Great limerick.
As for the painting I would have thought of nothing less than it creating its own way as the brush put the paint on the \'canvas\'. Abstract painting like many poems have a life of their own and the ideas do change of their own free will as the words or paint flow.
I can see another poem coming about this topic.
