Cats - Too mysterious to comprehend. From Lions and Tigers to household pets, they remain aloof and powerful.
Your poem captures their station in life and our response to it brilliantly. Loved it.- Phil A.

At the risk of repeating myself - whilst I do not dislike cats even if they do look down on man I do rail against their owners who are too lazy to take them for walks and instead allow them to wander free wreaking havoc with wild life and in other peoples gardens. If responsible cat breeders can exercise their charges without setting them free then why can\'t other cat owners? Dog owners would never get away with it.

Rant over - another fine write Fay.

Superior beings every last one of them. Some people hate them for that. I adore cats and I adore dogs too I hasten to add.

You\'ve captured some typically cat and kitten characteristics here. But where is the shock pain of a kitten climbing up my trouser leg as i open a can of cat food?

Oh to be as lithe as a cat and as luxuriantly lazy as a cat at rest too. Definitely one of the top life forms on the planet.

Odes indeed. Raindrops upon window panes, become a song of praise. Poets tend to find beauty in unlikely places. as you have here. To convey one\'s thoughts upon the moment, is poetry\'s purpose. You have given us all of your insight beautifully wrapped in poetic excellance. Thank you. -Phil A.

I was tempted to congratulate you on such a wonderful testament to the longevity and flexibility of the Ford Transit van..... however.....

Tears from heaven cascade earthward to refresh and lubricate our love for the verdant lush among which we toil. Captured here in your fine words as they hesitate for us to marvel their individual significant beauty.... not least that which inspires you Fay to find the finery in our everyday experiences.

And lets face it, 2020 has seen too bloomin many raindrops on windows especially for those of us shielding.

This world would be a beautiful place if it weren\'t for people.
Think of how many people had to sign off for that inadvertent bomb to fall where it did. We could blame them all, but mainly we need to take responsibility. We put the warmonger in control, we build the bombs, we fly the planes or launch the rockets. ...Enough, sorry......
A beautiful poem, sad. yet beautiful. I\'ll keep this one. Thanks.

Great insight into the predicament of one of the lesser known, lesser appreciated, heroes, or victims, of war. A scene we see all too much of in the middle east.

Perceptive writing looking beyond the human facade into the personal loss of so much with now nowhere to go and nothing but rubble to her name.

ooh the picture changed from when i started to write this. it\'s now more attuned to what we see in the news reports.

BRIAN HERE ~ Good Evening Fay ! Love the picture with the Brolly over the DOG & not His Master ! I have never had a DOG my Parents always had CATS and now Angela & I have SMOKEY CAT! Essex is drier than Cornwall but on wet says I see Seniors doing their constutional with their grateful Pets. In my experience Dog Owners have a deeper bond than Cat Owners ~ Cats are much more independent and dont need WALKIES ! Angela loves DOGS (she loves SMOKEY too !) and I have promised Her when we have a BABY - and shes on Maternity Leave - I will get her a Golden Lab Puppy ! Smokey is good with DOGS ~ He ignores THEM !
