Reading your first stanza brought forth a gasp and \"there is much wisdom gained from the actual there\".
And so it continued, as i agreed with the sentiment so exquisitely phrased.
So very true and heartfelt by all who have journeyed loves chapters and allow a guarded hope a corner of their life.

You speak of love that once stoked melts all in its wake, and have poem\'d it with such depth. But, love is an uncontrolled emotion that once inflicted, cannot be tamed or inflamed.

War has produced most romantic poems imaginable, for it holds the suspense of ever meeting again, in body and soul, as when departed.

Love\'s Call.
MendedFences27 said:

Soldiers die from the separation and the hell. Two wounds at once, the former the more painful. Those that wait also die from the separation, and and endure the anxiety of not knowing.
The ancient cry to end all wars keeps repeating, but hopefully growing in volume.
Oh, how you have recreated the longing felt, the risks taken, and the futility of it all. It saddens the reader while truthfully displaying the over-riding dread. Your words fall like her tears and their meaning explodes in the mind of the reader.
I really enjoyed this one. - Phil A.

Reads like the heartache of a lovers parting with the agonising waiting, hoping, and the anguish of fear that her hero may be yet another sacrifice to some politicians war game.
Compelling and heart wrenching.
