In some places they have bells as collars to let us know if they have wandered off, otherwise very docile and hardly needing prodding to feed. A very lack-a-daisical activity, till the end of day, and then a lot of tending indeed.
A lovely poem on a lovely subject

Your words read more atmospheric and even prettier than the image you have used to accompany them..

HOLA : Angela here ! Thanks for caring & sharing FAY. Love your analogy between *A Boat adrift* and the DISTRACTIONS we face every day. I have been sailing here most weekends and the winds can be very unpredictable and Brian has warned me never to go out on my own ! There are many other distractions as well. My JOB is all about being focussed and giving the right advice & treatment to my Clients who want full & pain free MOBILITY asap. I also have a responsibility to my 5 female Maori Students to teach them how to understand X-rays ~ Response to touch & flexings and the ability to make the exercise & recovery Programme specific and appropriate to each client ! There is no room for distraction ! As PHYSIOS we have to be a Jack of All Joints & Muscles and Master of ONE - such as Hand - Foot - Leg - Arm - Neck - Spine ~ Pelvis etc. For the last two years I have specialised on the Hand ! Manual dexterity is so so important as you know ! It will take another Year of Study & Practice to be certified as a Manual Physiotherapist and assigned to specific patients as well as a General Physio & also a General Tutor. I guess about 1 in a 100 Physio Clients need specialist treatment with Manual Physiotherapy. There have been several successful HAND TRANSPLANTS but I have not worked with any ! My own hands are very important in my Job so I always wear light gloves when Gardening and heavy gloves when using Power Tools etc !

Blessings & Peace to You & Yours

I came back to your poem tonite for a re-read and i have to say its really a moving write. I know exactly where it comes from and you convey a predicament more delicately and poetically than i could ever aspire to.
Hence it simply has to be a favourite.
