Good write but I always think that cats are arrogant creatures and as an ornithologist cats are a danger to birds; for every bird a raptor kills for food cats take four hundred to play with and kill.

Ooooo FAY ~ You know how much I adore CATZZZ ~ they are awesome and no two cats are the same. Like you ~ I LIKE them ~ I LOVE them ~ I ADORE them ~ I PRIZE them ~ unlike other ANIMALS they have a touch of the Divine which is why they can relate to Humans on the SAME Mental & Spiritual Level. My Family & Extended Family would never give a \"DOG\" house room but they all ADORE CATS and make their HOMES a Feline Kingdom ! Our Family Mantra is \"HOME is where the CAT is\" AMEN. Your poem highlights some of their many qualities ~ Undisciplined ~ Enchant & Entrap us ~ brook no denial ~ Break Hearts ~ Wilful ~ Whimsical etc etc. Love the picture \"A Galaxy of Cats\" Angela\'s Family have a DOG (who tolerates Me ~ just) My Mum\'s CAT loves Angela and she loves POLLY ! Angela has promised Me that when we are married and in our own House ~ we must have a CAT and she will never pester me to BUY her a PUPPY ~ that is TRUE LOVE ! Please check our new FUSION on a very topical subject ICE CREAM ! Yours as always BRIAN & ANGELA !

Yes - lovely cats and dogs. A fine write Fay. Though for a time I was afraid of ANY dog. One barked at me when young, or something, and scared me.

My dear Fay,

A great write indeed...as Michael stated!
My daughter is the cat lover! Actually she lost two...Scherzo and Vespers...within three months! She’s totally devastated! She has another...Prince Harry...He’s a young one compared to the other two!

“Furry dictators” with
“a quiet cat attitude”!
Lovely!

Enjoyed the read! I will forward your poem to my daughter. She’ll appreciate it!

Oh i just love this. I can see so many of the lovely cats i have known in your words. They are the highest life forms on our planet i think. Which other beast commands love and respect from day one from us the supposed intelligent ones.
Goes into my favourites.

Lovely.

My sanity is held by CHAINS
Memory infiltrates my BRAINS
My sense is shrouded with REGRET
I fear that you would leave me YET
Half-hearted love will LACK
Capacity to take you BACK
Name calling ~ my hope DRAINS
My sanity no longer held by CHAINS !

FAY ~ Please excuse
My fragmentation of your Muse !

Loved it ~ Yours as always ~ BRIAN

Fay, at certain times we become more aware of things. Those that use to fill our days are empty. Never truly empty though. They live on in our memories. You are a marvelous writer!

Adorable fun side of you Fay! Stay safe - I\'m with you these days...... I did handle some pretty wild horses (have been bitten and kicked) in my day but I always felt they were worth \"dying\" for if it came to that..... but lions and tigers and bears .......... oh my!

I loved this Fay. I came in close contact with a mother bear and 4 Cubs one time while hicking. I was terrified. To my surprise she paid me no mind at all. I just stood still while she lead them away. It happened in the Great Smokey Mts. Bears are use to seeing people there. It was exciting but also frightening at the same time.

Thanks for sharing an important subject Fay ~ Infant mortality. In the UK the current statistics are (for babies under ONE) 5 in a 1000 for BOYS and 4 in a 1000 for GIRLS ~ so most extended Families will have some experience and will empathise with your Poem ~ as we both can. ANGELA tells me that (as with miscarriages) most are caused by genetic problems. Some however are due to accidents or neglect & abuse and these are the worst cases. Parents I know who have lost a seemingly healthy Baby ~ never recover. Cot Deaths are a controversial issue but sleeping Babies should be monitored & checked and Babies should not sleep in the same bed as their Parents. Thanks for dealing so gently with a difficult subject. Yours BRIAN & ANGELA. Please check our Collaboration Poem on REST .................... ! Thanks B & A.

Oh Fay - so beautiful. Brought to mind a cemetery I used to visit while biking at Lake Placid New York - very old cemetery - with a little grave for two babies - Lulu and irene - 6 mos and 1 1/2 years - died within a day of each other. No parents graves around them - they must have left the area - I always imagine from great sadness. As we used to go there every year, I put flowers on the grave each time I went. The two forlorn little babies alone in the cemetery on top of the mountain.........

A lovely write Fay. I felt generally \'tired\' for about 18 months after the loss of a close relative. I was crawling round the floor at home sometimes. It was not a heatwave. Just no energy at times.
