Adorable fun side of you Fay! Stay safe - I\'m with you these days...... I did handle some pretty wild horses (have been bitten and kicked) in my day but I always felt they were worth \"dying\" for if it came to that..... but lions and tigers and bears .......... oh my!

I loved this Fay. I came in close contact with a mother bear and 4 Cubs one time while hicking. I was terrified. To my surprise she paid me no mind at all. I just stood still while she lead them away. It happened in the Great Smokey Mts. Bears are use to seeing people there. It was exciting but also frightening at the same time.

Thanks for sharing an important subject Fay ~ Infant mortality. In the UK the current statistics are (for babies under ONE) 5 in a 1000 for BOYS and 4 in a 1000 for GIRLS ~ so most extended Families will have some experience and will empathise with your Poem ~ as we both can. ANGELA tells me that (as with miscarriages) most are caused by genetic problems. Some however are due to accidents or neglect & abuse and these are the worst cases. Parents I know who have lost a seemingly healthy Baby ~ never recover. Cot Deaths are a controversial issue but sleeping Babies should be monitored & checked and Babies should not sleep in the same bed as their Parents. Thanks for dealing so gently with a difficult subject. Yours BRIAN & ANGELA. Please check our Collaboration Poem on REST .................... ! Thanks B & A.

Oh Fay - so beautiful. Brought to mind a cemetery I used to visit while biking at Lake Placid New York - very old cemetery - with a little grave for two babies - Lulu and irene - 6 mos and 1 1/2 years - died within a day of each other. No parents graves around them - they must have left the area - I always imagine from great sadness. As we used to go there every year, I put flowers on the grave each time I went. The two forlorn little babies alone in the cemetery on top of the mountain.........

A lovely write Fay. I felt generally \'tired\' for about 18 months after the loss of a close relative. I was crawling round the floor at home sometimes. It was not a heatwave. Just no energy at times.

GOOD EVENING FAY: Angela Here its 8am (Thursday) just preparing for work, this poem needs a Woman\'s touch. There is a great truth here that \"Our outer appearance reflects our inner Peace, or lack of it!\" Physiotherapy invigorates the Inner Woman : Beauty Therapy enhances the outer. We need both! I know Ladies have the edge when it comes to makeovers. My parents are both in their 60\'s and My Mum is like a chameleon and always looks the part, Wedding, Funeral or Night out with the Girls. However hard he tries my Papa always manages to look like a Spanish Wine Merchant! Personally I always take good care of myself INSIDE & OUT two of the many reasons BRIAN loves me. He\'s the same! Thanks take good care of yourself. love ANGELA XXXX

This is a great philosophy for living in later life. Thank you for sharing. Slightly on topic, I remember a line from a play I was once in ...\"Age is an awesome thing. It is the one true mirror that reflects the vanity of youth!\"

AWESOME FAY ~ Us lesser Poets had a spate of SHAPE-POEMS a few Months ago. All simple ~ all geometric ~ squares ~ diamonds ~ diabloes ~ triangles etc. We were very PROUD ~ BUT THIS IS A BL* * DY TREE ~ HOW ? I promise we won\'t even try to emulate !
It complements the Ode which is all about the vulnerability of trees against:
STORMS ~ portentous
LIGHTNING ~ frightening
THUNDER ~ numbing
LOURING MAUVE ~ awesome

The roots weep
the Tree shudders
The Tree tumbles & dies

TREES are not like ANIMALS ~ who can run & hide from the Storm (so can we !). TREES are rooted to the spot and have to face the Storm and other vicissitudes of life and some alas do not survive. When we have big storms and trees are uprooted ~ I take the students to photograph the exposed the root system to understand why some Trees (PEOPLE) survive and other Trees (PEOPLE) do not ~ it\'s all about ROOTS ! There is a moral in your Tall Tree Story ! Thanks for sharing ~ love the visual and the poem ~ Yours BRIAN & ANGELA

Struck once again by your poetic pyrotechnics here.
Thunder storms are wonderful but why do they seem rare in the daytime ... or is it my memory?
Love the way you create urgency with short lines.
