The imagery and analogy of love, loss and seasons is amazing. Such a great write. I agree with previous comments - should get 10 stars and is definitely a favorite of mine!

hello fay , this is very beautiful :-) i love how you have used seasons and flowers .. to describe love and its ending . even when winter has appeared and spring / summer has disappeared we are still left with the memories of those beautiful days, those beautiful flowers, scents . i love this ending \'\' rainbowed in memory
those flowers still hold colours\'\' even when a flower wilts, dies and loses its colours, we have got to remember when it was colourful , alive and hold onto that ... this is so lovely fay , i have saved it to my favourites, an enjoyable read which i actually read a few times lol

Lovely words again Fay. If only we could do as you suggest. Sadly all too often yesterdays taint our tomorrows and our early yesterdays can have sometimes damaged us quite seriously.

Ah - an eloquent comment indeed dear Brian and full of asides on the subject of coping with being a human - - loads of thanks for this supportive and enthusiastic collection of thoughts on where our bread is best buttered. Yours in carping diem every morning with smiles and naught else - - from Fay

YESTERDAY\'S GONE ~ My Friend FAY ~ TOMORROW may never be mine ~ Help me TODAY show me the WAY ~ One Step at a TIME ! My past is short (less than 35 years ~ only one third of my life DV !) but if I wallowed in its (few) sucesses ~ and drowned in its many failures ~ TODAY would be PAINFUL and TOMORROW FEARFUL ! BUT ~ your poem encourages me to encapsulate the things ~ which are BEHIND ~ and CARPE DIEM and press on the the high calling of BEING HUMAN ~ alive ~ healthy and intelligent enough to be an \"proactive\" member of MPS. Thanks for caring ~ Your POEM (and visual) has increased my resolve to firmly grasp (and implement) all the Opportunities that I know life will present ~ and toi increase my communications with my CAT TIGGA ! Your in appreciation ~ BRIAN

But as your other poems show - poets love the past! This poem that you wrote is already \"in the past\" - but we won\'t forget it!

This is entrancing, and causes something three steps short of a holy drunkenness. What a great piece. I am curious however of the line \"age-defeat you resist\". What did you intend for that?

Erm yes - I spoke to a tree. I said \'Tell me how old you are?\'
It replied: \' Be a tree- hugger and I will tell you!\' A talking tree - known only to me, where it is! heehee.
