Very good write Fay and the imagery is wonderful. I do hope the rain stops soon and the glory of Spring comes to the valley.

Very beautifully written, Fay! And while I write this comment, I look out the window and see rain clouds, rain, and everything wet!!! Perfect poem for a perfectly wet day!

A forlorn picture Fay - it very much brought to mind a cold, wet day in March on the horse farm one year when the entire barn had flooded - all the stalls were liquid sawdust and manure and we spent the cold, cold day using buckets to get it all out. The horses stood with their heads down - it was miserable..........

That picture goes perfectly with your beautiful poem, Fay! While the last stanza is sad, that sadness is offset by all the beauty before and the very special last four lines! Beautiful!

The imagery and analogy of love, loss and seasons is amazing. Such a great write. I agree with previous comments - should get 10 stars and is definitely a favorite of mine!

hello fay , this is very beautiful :-) i love how you have used seasons and flowers .. to describe love and its ending . even when winter has appeared and spring / summer has disappeared we are still left with the memories of those beautiful days, those beautiful flowers, scents . i love this ending \'\' rainbowed in memory
those flowers still hold colours\'\' even when a flower wilts, dies and loses its colours, we have got to remember when it was colourful , alive and hold onto that ... this is so lovely fay , i have saved it to my favourites, an enjoyable read which i actually read a few times lol

Lovely words again Fay. If only we could do as you suggest. Sadly all too often yesterdays taint our tomorrows and our early yesterdays can have sometimes damaged us quite seriously.
