A beautiful write it is, Fay.\"Bird-agility,\" \"feathers reflect to perfection,\" \"natures sessions of fresh happenings.\" - Loved those three. Also loved the Open and closing lines. Oh to have the Sun as your morning muse. _ Phil A.

As so often FAY ~ your poem paints a perfect picture of natural Cornwall ! It is also complemented by an elegant photograph. This poem enables me to visualise ~ the last red rose of Autumn ~ nodding marigolds and the singular Sparrow ~ drinking from dew-wet geranium heads ! You have unique Poetic Skills which we all admire ~ but none can emulate ! You are both a hallmark and an encouragement. We all love you FAY ~ just for being you ! Yours forever BRIAN.

I have no doubt you have been here many, many times, Fay. An old and wise soul you are, revealed in the beauty of your work. This is but another fine example.

You do paint such wonderful pictures for me when reading your words.
So easy to take all of those things you describe for granted everyday. But reading your words, i stop and look, feel the damp mornings atmosphere, hear the sparrow wings, wonder if the rose will still be here tomorrow. Enchanting.
Yes another of your fine pieces into my favourites.

Lovely write Fay. It\'s a pity - I tried to join a cat in its singing / mewing. But it was terrified and dashed off quick! Well, it would, cos it heard me sing and thought there was cat-fight somewhere. heehee.

Just mentioned Solveigs Song on another posting - ah the voice not singing words but just used as an instrument - beauty everywhere if only we listen. Steam massages its back - what a majestical phrase - super as ever Fay.

Living by the sea, one learns of its might, but making a living on the sea, one feels its might. A struggle for sure, one that is often lost, and courageous men die. Loved your poem that brought it all back to mind. - Phil A.
