Beautiful and realistic write!
Relatable because of the
many recounts my mom
tells me about my dad’s
service in WWII! They
weren’t married yet. They
were waiting for the war
to be over! She waited
and waited until he finally
got home safe!
I read poem to my mom
and she retold me the story
of the waiting for my dad!
Thank you for the posting!
I always look forward to
read your masterpieces!

A fisherman\'s wife is not an easy life. You paint it so well in this fine write, Fay! I like the repetitive theme in the first lines of each phrase. Well done, again.

A fine write Fay. There are things that can come in to distract us: \'What about this or that?\' \'What about tomorrow?\' \'Something\'s bound to go wrong I bet\', etc. Negativity, hurting, hating, harming oneself, can all come in. Yet to live one day at a time, to be ourselves each day, though not in an escapism sort of way.

Fay,
AP and Brian said it best! I totally concur with their comments.
The entire poem is a wonder! My favorite line that opens up my mind to welcome the wonderment of nature is...
to climb from depression and take comfort in beauty in viewing surrounding reality.
So masterfully written.
It reads like a prayer. Thank God for Mother Nature and you for being able to capture it with words!

AMEN FAY ~ Thank GOD for MOTHER NATURE who brings everything into perspective for us to enjoy DAILY ! We can have a thousand reasons to be depressed ~ but for me a \"Walk in the Woods\" or the East Coast Shore (which is only 10 miles away !) lifts my Spirit to Heaven and I say to myself \"What a Wonderful World ~ AMEN !\" Thanks for carin\' an\' sharin\' ~ Yours as ever |BRIAN
