Disturbing reality. I kept reminding my daughter when she was at Uni to be very careful precisely because of this. An important message.

shh ..... it happens .. dangerously dark, hard hitting truth all beautifully poemed .. but no matter how pretty we try and make it appear ... there\'s an ugly side to it all and captured so well here ........ x

(thank you, dear Fay
you\'ve gone n done it again
inspired me to write, something
I never knew I had in me,
with your beautifully, empathetic poetry,
what a gift you choose to share!)
\'...and then the freefall, begins:
drinks and drugs to forget, leading #
to her endlessly re-enacting, the same mistakes
only
she never had a chance, to realise
sexual emancipation, is nothing to be ashamed of
to begin with!
it was the rest, that messed her up
the
letting her flesh, be used
to give her mind, an escape
from this morosely incessant: self-judgement..
and all this turmoil
plastered, behind her concrete smile
as she walks, back
to that strange home
and hugs her dad, drowning
in his loving eyes
this father of a man, looking
like all those, other men
are they or is he
the false promise: in her life...!\'

Great write with a stark message. Always keep your wits about you. Sadly, as a young girl these days, don\'t allow anyone to buy you a drink, and always get your friends to look out for you. Safety in numbers.

There\'s something special in the air as the day dawns. Photographers want the early morning light for its clarity. Romantic poets want the dawns air for its renewal of our faith in the majesty of creation.

Beautiful poetic images and birdsong on this chill morning.

There are experiences/activities I have never and now never will experience for myself. Surfing, hang gliding are others. Doesn’t prevent imaginative journeys though. Your piece provided a perfect key for one such – Thanks Fay.

I wanna be there..... order me a helicopter cos i\'m too lazy to climb (shall I include a list of injuries and ailments here?). Oh I\'m often perched mentally upon a peak. It brings out the \"superior\" in me, especially when a choir of angels descent to exhalt me..... am I getting carried away here.. (or carried off).
Look what your elevated poetry has done to me..... I need earthing!

If there is a way
To go back
And mend that was broken

\'mindless of relationship\'s worth.\'
if we but could
find a way, to correct this One curse
from faltering our future generations, unmapped horizon\'s
we\'ll have solved
the root cause of so much hurt, they\'ll inherit
by following
our doomed examples...
(just such a relatable read, dear Fay
beautifully unfurled)

It\'s the weirdest thing when relationships crash. Couples don\'t move into the future, but play out the relationship in the past. You can see how therapists make a fortune.

With age has come patience, understanding and a less demanding attitude.... perhaps repair patches to buy time when younger will save losing the most important relationship in ones life. And not have to live through the regrets of losing it together with the subsequent heartaches earned from follow-on relationships with others. Easy to be philosophical with hindsight for me.

Another fine piece of writing Fay which certainly chimed for me.
