That’s a cop out, Fay! – You’ve passed all that poetry power and passion to an unknown hand, ballpoint and pad, oh and a lowering sun….shame on you!

Good write Fay.
Tricky if we take unfamiliar paths sometimes. Some go on for miles. We don\'t know where we may end up!

All those old familiar places.

AS a kid I was shunted all over the country along with my siblings as we grew up. I used to be able to count having attended more than ten different schools. Thoughtless parents, messed up education etc.

Familiar places have become important to me in later years, they become as friends. It\'s heartwarming to see the seasons on familiar landscapes, alive in the hedgerows and pasture.

Reflecting upon your words brings to mind the thrill springtime will bring to familiar places.

Very atmospheric writing from you Fay.

A candlelit dinner for two has such romance. Captured here undoubtedly.
The making of an evening with an air that lasts long into the sweetness of enchanting love.

Ye tickled my roots with this fine ditty my deario. The family name is from St Buryans right down on the peninsular and we even have a tin mine bearing the family name.
So I can romance with your verses in my west mids ignorance but a very enjoyable romance it has been.

A rich and atmospheric portrait of past mining of tin and copper in Cornwall, Fay (as a comment that seems totally inadequate to pay due to the depth of the detail crafted into poetic form here – sorry) Are any of those mine workings near you? Talk of reopening? If so let’s hope due attention is made to miner’s safety and environmental consequences.

Your sweet poetry will draw the reader in and then, engaged with the realities slightly withheld until there, can have no choice but accept the truth. As valid or more so than the confrontational stuff (don’t look at me!) which the whole subject normally attracts. Thanks Fay.

Beautifully composed Fay. Sorrow and regret pace throughout, mocking each individuals humanity. Realisation of futility but ensnared in brotherly devotion. Frustration and anger used and abused to gain.... to gain death on a field of war by starched collar, perfumed gentlemen.... who\'s names will decorate the books of history long after they are laid gently to death.

An old man watches history re-tell the same old worn out phrases.
