I feel a little sorry for you folks in the northern hemisphere; although your poem captures richly the wonder of the heavens, Fay, if you came south I believe your entry here would probably cause MPS to start smoking....... and then there\'s the passion in a climate (certain seasons) conducive to....

That yellow hue proves the sun is shining somewhere. I remember one morning arriving at the top of broadway hill and as i drove down there was a noticeable band of brown mist suspended above the vale of Evesham. That was in the 80\'s before we attempted to stop the pollution, not quickly enough I hear one and all say.
Confronted with daily news about pollution and global warming how refreshing to read your poetry today and envisage such a lovely view. I ache to sit quietly and take in such atmosphere..... methinks i have a wait ahead though.

took me back to past holidays
in the west country
so many wonderful walking paths
unassuming hidden beaches
and breath-taking hilltop views,
this is the best few weeks to view
the true wondrous nature of our beloved blighty
so many contrasting colours..
love your first line, a truly romantic depiction
\'Like a silk-veined yellow scarf
mist hangs today in the harbour.\'
such a wonderful read, dear Fay

Summer is so short isn\'t if Fay. We still have more than a month of it and yet Autumn already seems \"in the air\". Loved this.

Yellow – one of my favourite c……s. Seriously – a high performance touring bicycle I ordered and rode around parts of England many years ago was bright daffodil yellow. I wandered lonely as a…no, may have been done before..
Avoided using the ‘c’ word didn’t you..too controversial?

Fresh and easy on my eye here, your piece.

I fear I have a very mundane view of writing here compared with yours, Fay. I sometimes see it as the virtual card game of patience - this word fits or it doesn\'t.....yours fit , mine oftimes don\'t.....

Hmm I\'m lacking all those things at the moment but I know how well you have described the wonderful creative times when words fall from your fingertips or you try to tease a novel way to adjoin words into something more meaningful.
All the more meaningful when respected poetic colleagues show appreciation in comments here on mps.

if I had been any later, I would be early for the onset of winter .. maybe ... an outstanding depiction filled to overflow with incredible imagery .... x

Faye - Another great evocative and descriptive write - Today I went walking and saw the red berries on the Mountain Ash - a true harbinger of autumn and a reminder that in my youth these berries foretold that the end of the summer holidays was nigh!

\'Bees

pollen\'..
Brilliant!
such a poignant portrait, in a poem
your choice words as sublime brush strokes
and your tone of melancholy
insuring even the coldest of hearts, cant help
but read, relate and sigh: in unison...
(one of your very best
in my humble opinion, dear Fay
thank you! for sharing)
