Swinger\'s Springtime Surprise
Mutley Ravishes said:

That inner Lucifer, working his socks off to tempt us! A hard taskmaster. Thank heavens there is forgiveness and redemption in this universe, otherwise I\'d be toast already!
As others have said, written like a song. Great work, Tristan.

You leave me sitting on the fence, frankly, in love with the romantic image whose youthful lovers illustrate all our hearts cherished on that score, your own lines so exquisite I want to hug myself in the delicious indulgence, torn as the tale twists into such a horror of devilry I\'m washing my hands of the joy turned sour. Fascinating. Beautifully rendered with marvelously gorgeous imagery and a damning poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Woof! Fido thought this needed an 18+ until he saw the two people on a swing. He saved me from nearly swooning when I saw the title \'swinger\'! It\'s me sheltered life, ya know. heehee.

It has the feel that music would accompany this well as it draws you in only then to reveal the final twist, enjoyed the read

This unique style worked so well for this poem that I could not help but give it a fave. It slowly reveals the story in almost song like form and like pulling up a shade from a window slowly reveals what lies beyond. Very nice Tristan

Dang it! Leave me trapped in your hellish nightmare, will you?! My la! As if my hours sleeping or waking weren\'t labeled as nightmares anyway, now you leave me clutching my collar as if the poison will yet slip through and eat my skin off me while I stand. Gorgeously rendered with consonance and alliteration and all those fun effects of the trade until I don\'t know where to begin, chockful of imagery to die for, the poignancy is what eats me alive. Thank you for sharing.

It would seem that every community would have at least one such house! And growing up we had our share of scares and dares revolving around such places. The effect on me at this time/reading is like a time travel poetry 🙏🏻🕊

I am not a believer in any faith buti can understand this write and the confusion that after having faith you are no better off in any way, my main question has always been, how can a god take all the praise for all the good but not accept responsibility at all for any of the bad, very interesting and thought provoking write

A fine write T. \'LORD\' in capitals is, I believe, because Jews considered God\'s names of \'Jehovah\' or \'Yahweh\' or \'Yhwh\' too holy to even say.
The verses you mention occur in Job in the Old Testament, but thankfully we don\'t all experience severe trials as Job did. It also can crop up at Funeral Services.

Call This What You Will, I Call It Misogyny

Alas, what a depiction of manhood! Coming myself from a close-knit family unit with both loving father and no less than six brothers, this slap in the face of such would leave me reeling, except I dabbled in the latter, individuals who thought it worthwhile to measure worth by the size of a certain member and wild tales of the opposite sex. Rendered exceptionally with superb imagery and an intriguing, yet hard-hitting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

So right to call this out but unlikely those who are guilty will read it, this is a huge area from social media that is telling and grooming young boys and men this is how we should talk to and treat woman and girls, they are growing up thinking this is normal I would also add parent\'s should be doing more themselves, by setting positive examples, correction when heard or seen and spending time with their kids,so they are not on the net all the time, sad but important write

Must respond. Well said. That dickheadery remains pervasive, I understand on social media and certainly in other quarters too.
Really glad I don’t have daughters.
PS: Sorry, but the “we\" doesn’t help, however what to do beyond speaking up when I am able and feel it appropriate. This needs a wider and deep discussion.
In the meantime: Right on, Tristan.

A noble poem for those that are least likely to read it, a message for those that are deaf to its meaning or intent. No more parents to plant compassion in children\'s hearts, no more restraint taught. A great poem that is needed to be heard. For the message itself a fave but even more for the creativity in which it was said

But those were the most inspiring images the catalogues used annually for these seasons of transition, a lonely soul in the café, looking out nowhere in particular, just searching the busy, heedless world beyond the window for that unknown something which must surely satisfy. [If only my reply were poetic I\'d be good to go, haha!] Winsomely rendered in hauntingly poignant brevity with excellent imagery. Thank you for sharing.
