This is short and soft, but it feels strong inside. The last lines are a little mysterious, like there is a hidden feeling. Very nicely written dear Tittu ๐ŸŒน

This is like a can of worms with the many interpretations there could be , mine the destructive nature of man constantly cleaning what is front of him or he doesn\'t like or agree with, very intriguing write

Our fresh washed floor signs are yellow here in Chicagoland, printed in English and Spanish saying, \"Caution, Wet Floor.\" But your illustration is a warning, fiery red. Fascinating. Beautiful in brevity, encapsulating more than what appears, the most eerie fact is our utter inability to cleanse ourselves before the LORD, which painful fact drives the latter herein addressed, methinks. Haha, and now I am at a loss for words. Excellently rendered with pointed imagery and a very haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Hello Tristan,
This is a strange one; one could take it as it is, at face value, as it were, or open to interpretation. It\'s very clever, quirky even. What I reap from it is: \'Do onto others as you would have them do onto you.\' As an off the cuff remark, sly-like as you have expressed. Intriguing, my good fellow.

You are in fine spirits, I trust,

Tony.

Many interpretations here don\'t know which one to start with. As a race we clean off nature in our path, as humans we clean off other fellow beings enemies, in genocides and wars, as individuals we clean off those not important to us by ignoring or slighting sometimes murder. Would we want to dry and let everyone step on us? Good write Tristan I am sure that others will see this differently with other interpretations but this is the most obvious to me at the moment.

Can we ever truly know? Life is a series of questions, and how we respond can lead us in so many different ways. We take the chance or we don\'t. Good poem for pondering!

Yes, I do love how you conveniently did NOT use an \"r,\" proving there is a price for having engaged thus. Oh! Eloquent brevity! Oh freighted catch! Cut the limbed creature lose, and pay the ultimate price for such a catch. Fall in love and set it free, to learn whether or not you\'ll be sans a heart thereafter. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

Catching the unintended is most complicated and extracting them from the net can be dangerous to both the fisherman and the fish as well as damaging the net. It deserves contemplation not in the release but in how to pursue with the least damage. The size also has implications in regard to the release. This poem in its brevity is a net in which my mind is now caught being pulled into deeper reflections and toward a boat of memories from which I would like to extract myself. A most wonderful short that provokes deep thought. A fave I should add that if that picture is of you it bears a striking resemblance to my youngest son

Your poem \"The Catch\" revolves around the unexpected outcomes and consequences of our actions, particularly as they relate to relationships and intimacy. The subject matter touches upon the complexities of desire, connection, and the ethical implications of entrapment, be it physical or emotional. The imagery of fishing serves as a metaphor for the pursuit of love or connection, while the notion of an unintended catch hints at the surprise and potential regret that can accompany such encounters.

the poem \"Sea of Dreams\" revolves around the themes of life, death, and the cyclical nature of existence. It explores the journey toward acceptance of mortality, suggesting that one must confront death to appreciate life fully. The poet combines vivid imagery, rich language, and a structured format to explore profound themes of life and death, encouraging readers to engage with their own understanding of mortality and existence.

In the midst of the maelstrom the fleeing poet meets his end in a mess of anger - the storm within himself. A profound passage of poetry, has a swiftness to it, enhancing the protagonist flight from danger and that anger that still rages on. Excellent! Very well done, Tristan.

Fond regards,

Tony.

I got in a huff about some hymns / choruses containing words like \'Hey\' and \'Whoa\' - far too \'common\' for middle to upper class folk! heehee.

I guess the funniest part to me is that both my parents were dreamers, yielding the world no less than seven dreamers to carry on the torch, yet I never considered that death played an integral role in the whole affair. I mean, I guess it was the death of the lives they\'d been raised to live, yet after that I flounder. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a deeply haunting poignancy. Thank you for sharing.

I like your writing .. I think that sometimes life can feel so horrible and painful ( and go through awful things .. ( I have )
That it can feel like bad weather .. and we donโ€™t see things get better ( even tho they might be going to )

I like the rhyming in this nice flow to your words

I like the idea of relating weather to emotions or life
