Anxiety
I guess you’re
Always gonna get me
Until this entity
I believe to be me
Is extinguished!
I never heard the word “xanthic” before! Is it from Greek?
Anxiety - surely one of our greatest tests?
Interesting write, Tristan.

Grrr! lol. I was unsure of \'xanthic\' meaning. When I tried to look it up, it requested a dictionary subscription - money-grabbers!

So true, just when you think it cannot get any worse in your head, someone comes along with another lorry load of crap to dump on you. Hit a cord and will do with many, great write

I has to navigate both the interstate and lesser roads with the same characters mentioned above harassing me endlessly, as well as life and after that don\'t know what to tell you. Fascinatingly rendered with excellent imagery and heartbreaking poignancy, thank you for sharing. Hang in there for me, please.

Indeed the world keeps turning. A great write telling us in our arrogance and disregard that we are nothing but dust and it will keep going regardless or in spite of us. Nicely said

Doesn\'t sound like someone enjoys flying, at this rate. Fascinating and rather intriguing, beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy. Thank you very much for sharing.

A very beautiful write and although filled with wonderful imagery, i found it quite touching and haunting as i get the vision of someone slowly drowning, he and all being reclaimed. Very enjoyable read

Fascinating. Where the opening lines seemed promising a hopeful end, how the tale unfolds a dire spectacle which tugs at the soul thinking in chagrin to fly off into the ether, tying it down securely to the earth, nay, dragging it below in lieu of above until despair eats at complacency. Curiously rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy, thank you for sharing.

Tristan such an engaging poem the raising tide and sand. I have felt that before but not to that extent. When sand starts to envelop the feet and water raises it becomes unnerving. Your form is most interesting and the theme seems one of being enveloped. This seems a slow process that at first is quite plesent and then becomes too much. Very nicely done

Are they stone statues?! Has Jaedis, the fabled White Witch of Narnia, visited ere the darling got to the window, leaving but echoes of what was, and nary breath of life?! The use of a refrain hammers home the deadly reality delineated while the answer hangs unresolved. Beautifully rendered with excellent imagery and a haunting poignancy, thank you very much for sharing.

This brought tears to my eyes. Maybe I am sensitive but it breaks my heart to se a dog oor any animal hurt or be abused. What is sad it there are people out there that actually do this. I\'m a firm believer, you get an animal, they become family no matter what. Some people don;t deserve pets. Again, great write. Hope your day is going good.

It should never to animals but equally i think this is about people as well, and how we all to easily banish and cast aside. Poignant and i feel touching read that makes a needed point. Enjoyed the poetry.

Exclusion like banishment more sever than a death sentece has been used from time immemorial as the harshist of punishments. Even now in prisons solitary confinement, being put in the hole is reserved for the greatest of offenses. We and dogs are social animals and need contact with our own. A heart wrenching read.
