THE \'A-I\' PARADIGM

THANKS LOUIS ~ For a very reasoned and well crafted Poem on AI ! To anticipate the future and appreciate the impact of AI we must fully understand the Nature of Man ! Before the Industrial Revolution we were more heavily dependent on Animal Power and some Developing Countries still are. Horses for Travel ~ Farm work and Convenience ~ Elephants for heavier work ~ Dogs for a whole range of activities etc etc. Planet of the Apes ~ exciting but JUST a MYTH ~ H Sapiens is not just an Advanced Ape he is a unique Creation able to harness and control the Environment ~ live anywhere on the Planet and even (if the need arises) colonise MARS ! In Industry many \"jobs\" are now carried out by Robots ~ but they don\'t sit in the boardroom and never will. AI is \"created\" by Humans and cannot control us ~ we will always control them ! Even one of the greatest SF Theats to Mankind the DALEKS were controlled by a \"living organism\" not a computer. For a rational assessment of the threat (or otherwise) of AI we must be influenced by SCIENCE FACT and not SCIENCE FICTION ~ OK Yours BRIAN. Please take a ride in my HOT AIR BALLOON ~ Thanks B.

Louis, you are touching on an incredibly complex and interesting thought here. How far will AI be able to go? One of my brother in laws is a University professor involved in AI. He also has a degree in philosophy. He thinks AI will relatively soon be incorporated into many aspects of computers, but in the end we, the humans, are still way ahead. Let\'s hope so, I don\'t want a robot to fall in love with my wife!!!! ;-)

I\'m anything for an easy life- window cleaner, vacuum cleaners, lawn mower all battery operated - just have to remember to recharge them each use. Just wish I could switch them on and they\'d operate themselves. Am I digressing ? Good write Louis.

A fine write as a poem. Man surely has to make such beings in the first place, so A.I. beings can\'t make themselves. I got me own questions, such as \'Has E.T. gone home really\'? heehee.

Data exists. Good write, A-I is with us and will be teaching us before very long, but it will not be able to write poetry because to do that you have to have a soul and be able to feel.

Louis, this is really living in the now. A free soul can not be attached. It is like love. True love, just love and never think how long it is going to be because life and love just moves freely and is eternity. You have a beautiful soul.

You know Louis, that last stanza, which is great by the way, could even refer to our whole lives on this earth. I really like this poem, it made me think!

Louis, what a great write. Leave the word there for those that are interested. If is a fiasco or not who can tell. If anyone comes back to say about it, no one believes anyway. The God\'s comedy. Were we created for God\'s to play?

Good write L. And yet there will be this emphasis, I feel, as man does not naturally think on spiritual things. In fact, it says in the good book that man can\'t naturally understand spiritual things, but needs \'help from above\' to do so.

Thanks LOUIS an interesting concept to make one ponder on HOMO SAPIENS ~ so early in the morning ! The fact of the Matter is if ADAM & EVE (check my Fusion for a picture of EVE !) walked into a NUDIST COLONY ~ they would look no different from 21st Century Man & Woman ! We never evolved from Simians we were created NOT a little Higher then the Apes but in \"The Likeness of GOD\" ~ just a \"Little lower than the ANGELS !\". We are Spiritual Beings infinitely different from the rest of the Animal Kingdom ~ AMEN ! Yours BRIAN

I do like your poem a LOT! But (there is always a \'but\'), can you imagine a life consisting ONLY of challenges and confrontations? I believe that we need these empty spaces to give us breathing room and to let us get ready for the next challenge. I agree with you though that these empty spaces may be hard to endure.

The empty spaces are important to make them the best. It is with the empty spaces that we can create a new meaning for life.
With the gaps lays the answers.
I love your poem Louis. Very beautiful and poetic. Your words carries a great question. For you and many to answer.
