It\'s not who is more intelligent, it\'s how one uses their intelligence.

Having intelligence and not using it is a bigger crime then being ignorant

I hope you don\'t mind me taking this liberty

JUST ANOTHER GLORIOUS DAY

People do get on our nerves some days, or some times. Seems like planet of the apes at times, though I don\'t go along with evolution.
Then again we may say \'You greedy pig\', and reply \'Why you insulting pigs?\'

I really liked this poem.
And while computers are pretty much controlling most aspects of our lives, the one thing that can not be programmed, or replicated is a soul, the spirit of any living being!
That’s what I cling to, that’s what keeps my hope alive.
Your writing is awesome! You got the wheels turning in my head. That’s what a good write is supposed to do. Thank you for sharing! :)

Our brains are no match for computers as far as math is concerned, but I have yet to see a computer with the kind of imagination displayed here on these pages!
But no matter what, if the days of waging war and despoiling the planet could come to an end, that would be wonderful!
Love your poem, Louis!

Oh I know. It\'s said humans only use 10% of their brain capacity. Or in some cases they only use 1% (me?! lol).

A fine write Louis. I would say our brains are far superior than computers. The computers only do what human programme them for - good and bad.
Unless one day some creepy self-automaton arrives. But even if so, some human will have to invent it to begin with.

THE STRUGGLE WITHIN
dusk arising said:

Hmmmm i too pondered long upon this until i discovered Buddhism which has no higher being, deity or god. It teaches you how to perceive. I\'m not selling the idea but so many modern ideas on existence and spiritual matters do lead back to its teachings and it doesn\'t try to rope you into \'switching gods\'.
Nice thought provoking writing from you.

I think there isn\'t one - a point that is. So it leaves a blank slate for you to put anything you want on it. Short of ax murder..........

A fine write Louis. I don\'t quite understand what, or how, the \'Higher Self\' may be.

Very good write. The struggle for understanding will always be there but once our \'Higher Self\' is set free we will understand.

Love it, Louis! And the struggle goes on...
I am with you, would love to know more!
Don\'t know if it is true, but heard that we are only using 10% of our brain. Think how much further we would be in our thinking if we could unleash the other 90%!

Yup - ideas do sometimes dry up. But I read avidly and usually find something in a book which triggers something if only a one liner. As for this - it\'s a super work which flows from start to finish .

TEMPORARY TEMPLES
FredPeyer said:

Your great poem made me think, Louis! Is it maybe the other way round? Part of the soul\'s education to experience living inside a neglected and/or abused temporary temple? Just food for thought or maybe a discussion.
