The agony and the ecstasy love reflected can bring ... beautifully portrayed in this fine poem, Fred. The analogy to a neglected rose ... so well done!

How poignant this poem Fred - filled with sad reasons for comparing a dead rose with wilting love. A moving read.

Brought a tear to my eye fred because i interpreted this as my love for life and how life loves right back at me. Sadly i age and cannot enjoy this lovely world as i would like to. The decaying rose is me and millions like me. Beautiful words. You are some poet

My thoughts went to WW1 Fred and the Christmas football match between the trenches between the Jerrys and Tommys. The joy of humanity still thriving in the boy brought to foreign lands to be slain in waves and for what? As Gordon Sumner wrote \'the flower of england face down in the mud and stained in the blood of a whole generation.\'

A very good write and in this day and age it is so true and is probably expanding to a bigger rubble filled pitch.

Lovely written Fred. I always I love to read you. In the beginning I was scared by the title because I thought you were leaving. Maybe you are leaving someone or someone left you?

For me you were picking up litter - public spirited soul that u are - and discovered the masterpiece here included. A lovely tragic combination of a rubbished love affair now a piece of windblown trash. Take away the first two and last two lines of your piece and its impact goes, but they\'re there and its VERY powerful.

Interesting that both Kat and Renzi assumed that you wrote the note rather than found it. I wasn\'t sure, but either way it is a fine poem, Fred! Very touching.

I\'ve heard that left handed people lead bad lives. I can\'t say though, because I\'m right handed. There are some things I do better with my left though. Good spot of fun, Fred.

Several lefties in the family, but I\'m a righty. I hope your penmanship is better than my left handed dad, poor thing.

Cute your poem. You are left but right when you say left has some advantage. I agree. I\'m right but my stronger side is my left if it counts. All my left side is better than the right. My older son is left and he is overall better than most people I know. If I want an opinion I always ask him. You shine.
