Awesome writing but sad times came to my mind. Most of my nights were expected with fear waiting for my dad to come home. Alcohol broke my heart but also made me stronger. Thanks for sharing.

I watched a dear brother go down that path. Had to step in and help raise his daughter. It is a home-wrecking addiction. Great poem portraying it, Fred!

Story teller with such a sad strong message. Now and again its ok to get plastered i guess. I\'d do it tonite willingly. But i cant imagine what it\'s like to be hooked on booze. Tho when i was a kid on the streets i do recall meths drinkers in their sad state of hopelessness.

A great write.
My grandad was an alcoholic.
We did have good times (which I don\'t remember). All I remember is the bad times. Its sad bad times in life stand out so much more then the good times.

In some ways being aware of the possibility makes everything a little sweeter. Certainly makes one grip a little tighter, forgive a little easier, and jump out of comfort zones. Death nips at all of our heels, regardless of age. It also gives one pause to practice gratefulness.

I\'m ready to die but still have a lot to live. I truly believe that death is just when you come to an intersection in life where from there after you need to take another road.

I only ever think of death when it\'s necessary. fuck death whilst you\'re alive dude so get on with it and keep writing poetry but include life next time. it\'s a really important factor to understand because you know how short a time we have on this planet and it ain\'t a great deal. death is easy, it\'s the living part that becomes the eciting part so live it.

I do like this - for me though I\'ve so much to live for and so much I still want to do that death is something I never dwell on - if it comes it comes but in the meantime I live for today and for the future.

For those who love wisdom, this write is a gem. \"Containing all we know, So our minds can grow\", well said! And to think there are so many whose minds have gone through arrested development and stopped growing thenceforth. The pity of it. For such folks, brain death precedes corporal death by many years. Thanks for that timely reminder FredP!

Coconuts are my favorites. I just planted 3 trees. They it takes very long to grow and begin to give you fruits, so, it is not risky for me yet. Taking advice on how to open them. Great advice poem.
