Neville loved the sly useof wording here in the winter of a relationship the freeze paired with burn and the reference to hell and the burn of either cold or heat is a woven fabric well knit. Yes relationships are seasons and a thaw could be expected unless we are going through climate change and into another ice age. Hope for a thaw and keep writing.

A fine write, Neville. Love the sentiment, and the repetition just nailed it. Love it, mate.

Darn, it\'s just after midnight here in Lincoln\'s Land and all my fatigued brain conjures in reply is the lilting \"these are a few of my favorite things--\"! This is too perfect and charmingly rendered with a haunting poignancy which swears many relate. Thank you very much for sharing.

keep trying - one day the light at the end of the tunnel will be so bright as to be blinding - and you will also find the strength to forgive, forget, and move on...

It\'s like an Isosceles triangle, it won\'t work unless all sides are equal. Clear the to-do list with an I-don\'t reply. The light can\'t be seen from the perspective employed, turn around and get out of that tunnel. Short quirky answers to the dilemma. A most intriguing poem. It appeared to me to be looking for an impossible answer. It always seems the more we do the more do\'s are born. The light at the end of the tunnel is a bus coming straight at you.
Well so much for tunnels, for today. Enjoyed your poem, made me think. \"Is the world just a series of tunnels?\" - Phil A.

That is a bind many get caught in and try as hard as I might could not believe that therapy is able to fix. But that’s just me.

You are more persistent than I, I surrendered years ago and find that going with the flow is more in line with the Tao. I love the first two lines. When I can\'t see the light I learn to enjoy the darkness. I think the hardest thing of all is to learn to forgive oneself. A poem with many hidden gems concealed in the lines

\"Full of complete strangers.\" Sometimes, the passage of time leaves one unrecognizable. The love exists in the keeping of the \"albums,\" cherished memories, no doubt. This poem points to the \"changing\" of lovers over time and how it changes their relationship. I like to think it grows deeper and more meaningful. A scene from the lives of older lovers. Very poignant. - Phil A.

Ahh the meaning here taken in so many ways. The mind wanders and ponders, is it a desire to to forget the past? Is it contentment with the present? What does it mean when one keeps no photos? The comparison of keeping them of others and not of you creates phantoms that shadow the present. There is a metaphor here as well photos are memories and those too if discarded mean dealing only with the present. A haunting poem of dreary existence frozen and locked in the now. We are what we have become with no way to return to what we were.
