Nothing like cuddling under coats to keep you warm in freezing weather. We have been spoiled with central heating. Yes I remember ice on window panes and coats on top of blankets. That was one of my Nan’s tricks. Your poem though is about young love. You must have been captivated a great deal to wear that Moroccan thingy that crawled:) Neville your nostalgic writes are ace. Happy Saturday to you and yours.

An enigmatic write my friend, open to interpretation? A painful parting that must be? Fine and dandy.

Some Words Speak for Themselves
sorenbarrett said:

Hope the beginning of all things such a great beginning. Love that amorphous emotion impossible to define. So often misunderstood. If God is everything, everywhere, and all present then God is love. I see all nature as love. Peace comes after Hope is realized and love is present. There is too little of each in this world and probably will be for some time but as John Lennon said I cant help but \"Imagin e\". Great write Neville

So you have enough, you assert, to avoid the need to ever weep or bleed....
A generous wish Neville, which has universal applicability.........

Now KP and I don\'t help towards peace, with our constant fighting like cat and dog. Doh!
Do many cats and dogs actually fight each other?
You beaten that egg yet?!

Hope, love and peace. The most important words in the dictionary in present times of conflict. How eloquently you convey the meaning of those three little words that can make every difference to our planet. Thank you Neville.

Before it All Began to Go Wrong
Bella Shepard said:

I find that as I age I hit the rewind button in my mind a little more each day, and wonder how all that life passed by. Was I really that child, adolescent, adult, now senior? I think going back helps us understand where we are. Socrates said \"The unexamined life is not worth living\", so the food for thought you offer here is most relevant and beautifully said.

I would be there like a shot Neville, such wonderful times and memories back in the day. My friends and I made bows and arrows, we were never ever injured by them, or the catapults we made. LOL
Great times and such innocence all around.

First: A fine line in pure nostalgia Neville, full of the most appealing detail (and I mean \'most\' as part of many or much) which filled me with the above mentioned...
Second: Yes - I\'d go back for a week\'s visit because there were many things/attitudes I really enjoyed.....but do I want my own naivety too?

Some say you should never go back, but I would give my right arm to have a day back with my mum and dad, my four grandparents and my four siblings. So much in your words Neville that I like and resonate with. Simple times, when money wasn’t king, when people were friendlier and your neighbours were called auntie and uncle. Values have sadly changed. I sometimes pine for what has gone. That doesn’t mean I am unhappy. It just means time has moved on and I am nostalgic. Thank goodness for poetry, where we can pen our memories and enjoy them with like minded souls. I’d gladly go back with ya to the days before it all went wrong . Just think, no internet, no mobiles we all walked or got buses. A very different world. I really enjoyed the detail in this write.

Before it All Began to Go Wrong
Accidental Poet said:

Although there are many times in the past I would not want to relive, there are more that I\'d give almost anything to be able to relive. When time was slower paced and less arrogance and ignorance in the world. When everyone in the neighborhood knew each other and would stop to talk. When you could leave your house unlocked without fear of strangers been there while you were gone. And when I saw a pretty girl smile to outshine everyone else. 😊

I wouldn\'t go back in time simply because I believe nothing would change and what I have learnt on my road is that everything from the past has led me to today 🌹 Fabulous thought provoker dear Nev.
