Knowledge, the golden orb
L. B. Mek said:

\'Sunrise, in midst
of a Winter\'s bleak
how do we, treasure it..
Lakeside oasis, beside
baron sand deserts
how to convey, its treasure..
Wisdom, pooling
from our life\'s carcass
of failures and regrets:
how dare we, Value it!\'
(another brilliant
and inspiringly introspective, poem
dear poet
just a privilege
to witness your artistry grow..
thank you!)

Wow Spiller. I literally, LITERALLY, felt like I was experiencing each piece of imagery you\'ve presented. Those childhood memories, so sweet, in all the senses. Your keen and vivid realization of it all is magnificient. Yet the saddening, inevitable, fact, \"seems abandoned upon…..\" This is amazing.

I mean right from the start with the title you had me.

\"how to protect

and how to be protected

depends on mankind\"

Spiller, SPILLERRRR. This is glorious. I feel we\'re all searching and seeking tirelessly for our goals, that \"desire,\" yet we\'re caught up as if in barbed wire trying to actually turn it into fruition. Love your words

Infinite desires, less opportunities
L. B. Mek said:

(all night, my poetic brethren
without fanaticising
over yield or prize
we shall labor, work, dig
wait steadfast, and think
free ourselves of society\'s
shackles
deliberately designed to stunt
our very, capacity
for what simple
happiness, and satisfaction
we may be afforded, by life..)
\'We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;

Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o\'er life\'s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.\'

Infinite desires, less opportunities

I must agree with Teddy\'s comments. Whilst young adults our desires are way beyond our capabilities but mature into something more realistic with the years.
There are of course huge exceptions to this when we recall names such as hitler, polpot saddam hussein and their ilk who\'s egos seemed to run riot.

Dear Spiller
Touched totally with these lines..
how to make a notice
is it a commodity that can be sold
if only pain could be sold
but why would anyone buy ?
the sufferings inside….

I could perceive the pain you have gone through and each word of yours speaks the pain which people are facing.
Everyone feels, but a poet feels and heals with his words. You poetry surely makes a difference. Keep writing because its what makes you so special. !!

I\'m captivated by this poem where pain and strain on the souls leave us walking dead. The last line, \'is a mere breathe of air\'; looks like the end and start. The ending; is why I still have a breath after all the ache and agony with the want to stop everything. The starting; where despite; all that, you have a chance to breathe for a change; Leading to new experiences. Poetic beauty!😊

Bella Shepard said:

Maybe it\'s ageing, but the world I came of age in seems to have vanished. Technology is a wonderful thing, but the extent to which it has evolved seems to have robbed us of a sense of oneness, and we are now these independent entities vying for constant attention any way we can get it. Our ears hear, but don\'t listen. Our eyes see, but don\'t acknowledge. You\'ve said this in a very powerful way, and we need to keep listening and seeing what is right under our noses. Thank you!

At times, W. Somerset Maugham\'s Quote- \'Money is that sixth sense without which you cannot make a complete use of the other five\' does make sense in today\'s world. A fair depiction of P and M!
