This is beyond. That line \"but those pains aren’t big, as your dreams\" literally made me smile. Our battle scars and past hurts can burden us so immensely, but your words today spoke directly to that pain and rejuvenated it. Everyone must read this, it\'ll help heal the wounds. Thank you for this marvel.

I leave this page feeling a little bit sad .. maybe that\'s because you got such a strong message across today .. and although I rarely read what others have left behind, I couldn\'t help seeing orchidee\'s contribution to this page and find myself agreeing with every one of his words ...
... I will sign out now in the hope any residual scars heal regardless of cause .. and that as you journey through life and all the knocks, bumps and setbacks you may ever experience .. that you receive only the mildest of golden shaped bruises ............................ Neville x

\'but

like
footprints on beach
instead, *it\'s the marking
on coral reefs, the movement

Powerful words. Emotional scars, hidden, may be harder to heal. I have seen women in my previous practice who had been abused verbally, emotionally and psychologically and after so many years they were still trying to overcome their pain.

Good write S.
Can we \'unlearn\' some things? I don\'t think we can. But I think we can think different or new things - better things..

I just can not fault these words dear friend & poet ..

there are so many individual lines that are super in their very own write and which collectively make up something much greater and sublimely poetically profound ...

The more I learn the more I realise I don\'t know much at all. Without this human curiosity so much would have remained discovered. At the same time, curiosity killed the cat. Your poem is thought provoking indeed. Thank you.

I love how you have framed these questions of life. The thirst for knowledge propels us always forward, into a future we try to imagine. And as I think about what I know, I realize that on the whole, I don\'t know anything at all.

Rocky Lagou said:

Yes. The human nature is all about acquiring knowledge and wanting to learn more and more. We\'re curious creatures and it\'s just embedded in our DNA. However, \"what was it?\" What is it really for? I love this examination into humanity. Great job!

Hope, a blooming flower
Rocky Lagou said:

Dear Spiller. This is immaculate. I mean the way you metaphorized hope as this \"blooming flower\" is so so gracious and beautiful. I adore this message and that final line \"they still are searching...\" truly shows the progress that needs to be made. An amazing write!

\'Sunrise, in midst
of a Winter\'s bleak
how do we, treasure it..
Lakeside oasis, beside
baron sand deserts
how to convey, its treasure..
Wisdom, pooling
from our life\'s carcass
of failures and regrets:
how dare we, Value it!\'
(another brilliant
and inspiringly introspective, poem
dear poet
just a privilege
to witness your artistry grow..
thank you!)

Lingering
Rocky Lagou said:

Wow Spiller. I literally, LITERALLY, felt like I was experiencing each piece of imagery you\'ve presented. Those childhood memories, so sweet, in all the senses. Your keen and vivid realization of it all is magnificient. Yet the saddening, inevitable, fact, \"seems abandoned upon…..\" This is amazing.

Infinite desires, less opportunities
Rocky Lagou said:

I mean right from the start with the title you had me.

\"how to protect

and how to be protected

depends on mankind\"

Spiller, SPILLERRRR. This is glorious. I feel we\'re all searching and seeking tirelessly for our goals, that \"desire,\" yet we\'re caught up as if in barbed wire trying to actually turn it into fruition. Love your words

Infinite desires, less opportunities
L. B. Mek said:

(all night, my poetic brethren
without fanaticising
over yield or prize
we shall labor, work, dig
wait steadfast, and think
free ourselves of society\'s
shackles
deliberately designed to stunt
our very, capacity
for what simple
happiness, and satisfaction
we may be afforded, by life..)
\'We can make our lives sublime,
And, departing, leave behind us
Footprints on the sands of time;

Footprints, that perhaps another,
Sailing o\'er life\'s solemn main,
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,
Seeing, shall take heart again.

Let us, then, be up and doing,
With a heart for any fate;
Still achieving, still pursuing,
Learn to labor and to wait.\'

Infinite desires, less opportunities
dusk arising said:

I must agree with Teddy\'s comments. Whilst young adults our desires are way beyond our capabilities but mature into something more realistic with the years.
There are of course huge exceptions to this when we recall names such as hitler, polpot saddam hussein and their ilk who\'s egos seemed to run riot.
