I find this poem beautifully parallel to my ethical standpoints. I strive to promote the notion that \"you have to live for YOURSELF\" in my poetry and my works. Although it may seem egocentric, at the end of the day, it is \"survival of the fittest.\" If you decide to follow leaders and join the bandwagon, you will never stand out or make YOUR voice heard. So I love the way you expressed that message through this poem! Bravo! πŸ’–πŸ’–

an introvert
is only, one action
or sentence, away
from evolving
into an extrovert...
and a bookworm
is simply short of self-belief
from utilising
that same creativity
they\'ve been cultivating
in all those imagined scenes
they brought to life, in their mind\'s - eye...
(such is the gap
between our hopeful wishes
and those dreams
we realised, in-to our reality....)

Another great writing spiller ..πŸ™‚ there is so much more to us , than our difficult emotions .. as you express in your poem . It’s what’s underneath that matters and our true self

Great lines. Yes always easier to follow the crowd. It needs guts to stand up and speak out one’s own beliefs.

\'Negligence and so aloof
never to speak
Deep inside were words of displease
obedience of years
tagged as sheep

middle of somewhere
in sudden breeze
the rebel broke out
frustrated lion
roared across streets
docile was it ?\'
loved these stanzas
wonderfully worded, showcasing
that less is more
succinctly inked, wonder of poetry..
thanks for sharing, dear Poet

Let not the SHEEP not Sleep,
The journey is surely Steep
Not the time to Weep
Face the Lion with a LEAP !!

Good one !! But Poignant one ofcourse !!

A wonderfully constructed evolution of \"Hide and Seek\" here spilleronsheet.

In your your poem, you have succinctly tied certain phases down, and I really do hope in time, that the \"seeking\" will outweigh the \"hiding!\"

Bravo, and I hope that all is well!

Fishing
Rocky Lagou said:

Love the analogy between fishing and life. I personally saw it as a metaphor for writing.

\"holding the steady ink of rod
placing the brush in strokes\"

\"the more fishes in basket
pleases the stomach
the more marks on sheet
appeases the ambitions\"

Are you fishing for a poem? πŸ‘€πŸ˜Š

Best lines of the poem
\"come to the pond of fate

the pond of divinity that is laid

but remember to leave the burdens at home

cause happiness can’t live without peace on its own\"
Nice allegory !!

Your poem brought back memories of my university days. I used to skip some boring lectures - that was easy as those classes were big. For the smaller tutorials we had to think of ingenious ways to escape the eagle eyes of our professors. Thank you for this trip down memory lane.

Hide and seek
dusk arising said:

The inner city hide n seek of today for youngsters is a very dangerous game of bloodshed and gangs. Something people are born into.
It came as a surprise to me a few years back just how dangerous it could be for my young apprentice to be in parts of town where he was a stranger.
Maybe the gang life is hide when away from your neighborhood but seek strangers when you are with your gang... For me that was Mods and Rockers back in the 1960\'s. Does much change?

Life sure does fly by, and youth can be fleeting, some will prosper, some will fail, it\'s the way of the world and always will be. In a way I feel sorry for kids today, they\'re denied the freedom that probably made us what we are today.

I love the way in which you combined emotional language with metallurgic lexicon to produce a poem so rich and living. The play on the double meaning of \"pure\" was utilized so skillfully and the end result is a glory. Bravo! πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Dear Spiller,
An alloy is stronger than its its original form...
These lines were excellent...
\"An amalgam of emotions
an alloy of reactions
like a student before exam
anxious and nervous
like a lover in romance
excited and anticipating
like a professional in interview
scared and stressed
like an athlete in a marathon
stiff and flexible \"

Time you prove your mettle !! :) dear Alloy !!

The hundredth
Rocky Lagou said:

I know I already commented, but the first time around I honestly oversaw the power that one particular line possesses:
\"if a poet can write
it’s not only the pen
he holds
but also upon the support\"
This should be pinned with the rest of the iconic quotes in history books. πŸ’–πŸŒŸπŸ‘
