we\'re in-sync again in our posts my friend
lift them syllable weights
pump those positivity muscles
ink those knockout metaphors
claim your belt and reign supreme!
i\'ll be in your corner
iced towels and Vaseline in-hand!

Brilliant!
\'I\'m a dog in a fight against Cerberus\' rage in the betting pit.

Released in a fog, from the cage, a loss, in a murderous double cross, that dries spit.

I\'ve been bit, ears torn. Too late! Rabid, howls and growls fill the air.

As I sit, in scorn, at hell\'s gate, foaming jowls, gnashing teeth bare.\'
we don\'t need to wait till we\'re at
hell\'s gates
to wage war with Cerberus\'s heads
they visit us, in our daily chaos
taking bites at a time, we knew this
when reading Dante\'s words:
\'\'Abandon all hope ye who enter here\'
thus it\'s too late, to try and fight
once through those inferno gates
no, cherished friend
let\'s gnarl and bark and bite
our ill-fate\'s, one at a time
whilst we still can...!

Time
L. B. Mek said:

Time for sale?
not thanks
I\'m good living out
the original sentence
I was fated with
ya\'ll stay and enjoy
the show
I wait for my spaceship
escape, no regrets
I wasn\'t made for this
denomination of a life
too old a soul..
too weary a heart..
and see too much
despite my short-sighted
handicap..
lol

All\'z he, I, me, r (things arn\'t what they used to be)
L. B. Mek said:

\'how strong the song\'
and oh what glory
in having lived that song
once,
even though all the bitter
notes,
that glory can never be
forgot...
I so relate to your
poetic melancholy musicality, my friend
some might disagree
but I choose to believe
there is glory in having experienced
then lost
than, to have never known
and be left bereft of the details
so many sing about
when celebrating life..
in the ashes of aftermath
let us remember and hold-on
to what warmth
that fire once granted our frozen
hearts..
(what can i say dear Poet
BRILLIANT!)
thank you

The use of opposing imagery in this poem is outstanding. Each stanza a complete thought, each thought entwined in uncertainty. Culminating in \"things arn\'t what they used to be\", and never will be again.

Tears of mercy
L. B. Mek said:

(I so relate dear cherished Poet
truly, a great questing write)
tears can cleanse
or claim new victims
pulled under, drowning
in remembered hurt
I like
distance, between majority
for I recognise how tightly
my life tiptoes
on that rope of calamity..
but there is comfort
in ending\'s, in our finality
there
can also be a promise of mercy
we know we\'re counting down
our limited time
so it can help us shake loose
those shackles, wasting
our precious breath
death is guaranteed, to all
now
what are we going to about
life?!

The greatest poem
L. B. Mek said:

distance between us n truth
too crudely, dictates
merits in our poetic artistry...
T. S. Eliot
heralded for many a verse
when they all stem back
to that marriage he let go to waste
now, watch that crowd
ignore that fact, because they have
spent a lifetime fooled by his words
investing their years
in his poetic theatrics
his genius for elitist wordplay mirages...
or that lauded Frost
who inspired a friend
to lose his precious life
signing up for a war
no one could win;
because Frost used, misspoken
vulnerability\'s, decrying
a man\'s macho worth, assumptively
then versed his friends weakness
in that famous poem,
that all know
yet none can truly comprehend
about choosing a less trodden
path, dreaming of breaking new
ground
while that same poem
already told them in its lines
before
both paths, end-up the same...
some \'famous\' poet\'s
have always known the truth
that
there are as many wannabe poets
as there are petals blooming
in the spring of life
yet, very rarely do we get to glimpse
those black bat\'s sprouting
and rarer even, for us to fall upon
a bed of fallen Middle Mist Crimson
gems..
\'but as God said,
crossing his legs,
I see where I have made
plenty of poets
but not so very much
poetry.\'
from Bukowski\'s
\'to the whore who took my poems\'
