Soren, I love this existential reflection! 🥰 The contrast between “Glimmering glitter” and “festering sores of decay” shows both life’s fleeting beauty and inevitable decline. Also, that final line was mind-blowing! 🤯 It perfectly encapsulates existence’s cyclical nature. Bravo, my dear friend! 🌹👏

Night and day, shade and light. There is a point when they are so very closely linked. There is much beauty here Soren. Lovely.

There is a lot to be said for nothing & about it too don\'tcha know .. and then, there are those who make a fuss about something and never let you forget about it .. this is ragged and real, just the way I like em .. Neville

Happy or unhappy, we own the memories that have shaped us. We must live with them, and hopefully put them in some perspective. Love when you challange me to think. Great write!

The nights get shorter

I myself have made acquaintance of existing in the grey, part shadow-part light. Very interesting to see that in poetry. Never fails to catch attention.

This is an interesting rhyme technique. It is very much a song writer\'s style. All you need is a few guitar chords. Brilliant

Love this poem Soren. In it, I love the the play with light and shadow, life and death, reflection and movement...each juxtaposition serving to give one a sense of the passage of time and, of course, the cyclical nature of existence. This is an existential poem at its best and the ending 🤯. Indeed, with the absence of light there are no shadows. Profoundly powerful my friend! 🌹👏

This...just wow! Soren! What a metaphor for love from the moment we fall onward...and, of course in that falling comes ups, downs, gains and loss...in unique proportions for each person...and, in the midst of it all, particularly loss, trying to make sense of it all and find, if any, inherent meaning to it all. That is what I get of out of this the first several reads, but my friend, this is a multifaceted masterpiece that rewards multiple reads and will, no doubt, invite multiple interpretations...all signaling the reader to what this is...a great piece of poetic art! Bravo, my friend! 🌹👏
