The social viles that creeps the society and the loss of hope is totally entailed by these lines….days are becoming worst, no matter where the finger points.

The uncanny imagery that you played….listing my mind from the forgetful nature of mine to finding the answers to my mundane life…your poetry might be the key…keep penning dear

Ahh, and more recipes for KP. Of course, I feed her metaphorically relating to your poems, never with any actual food! lol.

The metaphor of the \"fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil\" found in Genesis comes through in this poem without ever mentioning it. Even the ancients understood that knowledge is what we all seek after as human beings, but it is knowledge and curiosity for it that leads us to our peril...to our being expelled from the paradise of innocence. The question is, if offered once more the blue pill (paradise) or the red pill (leave the damn matrix and see the world for what it is on our own ), which would we choose? Not sure. There are days I would say paradise. Other days, I am here in the storm brooding but grateful. At this point more the latter than the former, but lost and MISSED innocence is a thing. Great write here, Soren! A total fave. 🌹🕯️

By observation we send of our offspring into the world via school, etc. And they come home someone else’s child (teknon) as technology is the child of applied sciences so are ours the children of social experimentation. But that’s just my opinion 🙏🏻🕊️

The world certainly has turned bad, your language and powerful imagery in this is flawless. There is so much wrong, I was reflecting on the fact human touch will soon be a thing of the past, and our world will be left to trolls sitting behind their computer screens causing others harm. 🌹

Boy...and that makes all the difference! Wow. Love this rhyme scheme, the internal rhyme and the outright musicality of this piece, Soren. This one soars in so many different ways...plus so relatable literally and metaphorically. 🔥🌹👏 Well done, my friend!

Found it now? I was delivering some leaflets. A house had keys left in front door and no one was home. The person had popped out - very risky. I called back later to enquire, and the person had returned home and all was safe.

Man if I could return to my early childhood...but then I would have to go through the shitstorm called life again. Still, if only...and if only we could go back and avoid all of the things that took our innocence and childhood way. If only. Well done, Soren. This brought me there, if not forever, for a little bit. And in that, I found a little bit of heaven. Thank you!
