Bella so glad you enjoyed it. It was more fun to write about years later than it was to go through at the time. Thanks again so much for the read.

Dear Bella you humble me with your more than gracious comments. My mind wonders onto these things at times and I have to put them to verse. I feel somewhat guilty in that I would like to read more of your poetry that I find so entertaining but I think I have read them all or at least the ones that are listed. If you have others please let me know where to find them they are so rich with life.

This one takes my breath away. Who knew that physics could be poetry. Perhaps if physics were taught this way everyone would love it. You are a true wonder in all that you write, and I love working my way through all of it.

This is a wonderful, engaging story with a punch line that is priceless. I always love a burst out loud at the end. And I love your rhyming patterns, each line flows so beautifully to the next. This is a fav!

There\'s not only the Devil who dances here, Soren - the whole piece dances along with pace and energy out of control, yet contained in disciplined lines Thoroughly enjoyed.

That read with such fluidity and carried me along even back to a memory of old when the ship we were sailing on got caught in a typhoon so strong we listed to the closest safe harbour the women and children to one side and the men to the other. A distinct memory was the rolling of an empty cola bottle that rolled along the deck uncaring of it being observed. Good stuff here, Soren, the poem not the memory.

While wandering through your archives I came across this gem. I pulled up the trusty Spanish/Portuguese to English translator and was captivated by what I read. The ever present illusion of freedom, always just out of reach. You capture it all so beautifully. My high school Spanish comprehension has since faded but the pronunciation is still there. Reading this slowly, aloud in the native tongue adds another dimension as each syllable drips like honey onto the tongue. Thank you dear poet for this treat, I\'m a little late but it is such a favorite.

It is interesting how a list can become a poem, or a sculpture, and take the mind and imagination places. A poem with one verb. Sweet.

As I read this poem I kept wanting to sing it to the tune of Billy Joel\'s \"We Didn\'t Start The Fire\". You can read it slowly and marvel at the accomplishments of each individual, or read it fast and be overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of what humankind is capable of. So creative dear friend, you always amaze me.

Vengeance
L. B. Mek said:

an important and complex subject
deftly handled, dear Poet
(I\'m most scared of reactionary vigilantes
ignorantly/mistakenly
sparking community violence n looting
in neighbourhoods
that exist, hinging on such
thinly balanced tensions
for, to such rowdy crowds
it is but a moment of release
yet
they demolish, livelihoods
and ways of lives, for so many
needlessly)

I\'ve read several books lately about the life cycles of ancient forests, and your poem states so very succinctly and eloquently the symbiosis that sustains that life. Trees have come to be my passion, and the more I learn about their hidden life the more I love them.

I love the rhyming patterns that you employ in your poems, and this one is no exception. You give nature her just due in a most exceptional way, as you take on her most admirable characteristics.

I suppose art is in the eye of the beholder, but the eye must be wide open and unclouded. I say break the rules and find the passion dear poet. You write truly from the heart!

Resignation
Bella Shepard said:

This is such a breathtaking commentary on our modern, electrified, technoligized world. I\'m old enough to remember a night sky full of stars, not so my grandchildren. I remember summer nights with the only sound was that of the insects, and staying out late to catch fireflies. It saddens me that it has all, as you so eloquently said in this poem, passed away. But we are lucky to have the memories.

Your key word there, for me, is \'balance\' with respect to the \'intestinal\' and \'intellectual\'. Can\'t fault that, Soren - thanks for laying it out so clearly.

(funny wise Poet
how rarely we glean that connection
between that perfect sunrise
and the matter, released in every fire
\'recycled, cyclicality\'
as the Universes undeniable, inevitability...)

thank you!

Dear poet, sadly your words are reverberating around the world. I see it all too clearly in my own country, where too many in government want nothing more than to rewrite our painful history so that no one has to feel bad about anything. Thank you for always speaking truth in wonderful verse.
