Reading your great poem, PD, I vibrated right along with you! And I do think you could expand the \'Dan syndrome\' to a \'Writers syndrome\'

After reading the quote I was ready for some deep thoughts challenging my mind. Then, by the third line of the poem I realized you were talking about a dog, and getting to the \'mostly fun\' line, was smiling too.
But then, I also realized that you are talking about much more here than \'just a dog\'. The \'history of our connection\', \'fear of expressing\', \'walking together\', and \'compassion and balance\', apply to any relationship, be it animal or human, as does the last line. So, challenge my mind it did!!!
Great, great poem, PD!

Great imagination, PD! Great lines, like \'Atoms become entwined in the mist\' and \'As I rise within my own being to walk your deck\'. And the picture goes well with the poem. Kudos!

A fine write and pic Dan. I wouldn\'t meet any dog at one stage, chihuahua to great dane size, and all in between! Best to always ask the owners first, isn\'t it, if we can stroke their dogs?

I love your message in your poem. You can achieve anything you put your mind to. Are those all your dogs? BTW, is there a puff of smoke coming from the man walking by? lol Could just be me. Nice poem!

PD, I love your poem. The mind is the most incredible thing there is. I am fascinated and awed by it.
Btw, are you a dog walker, or are they all yours?

PD, the movie is absolutely great!!! (How telling too that the girl jumped without hesitation, whereas the boy did hesitate a bit)
With my oldest now 40 years old, I went through that letting go thing a long time ago, but it never goes away completely. There is still a strong bond and a tendency to give them our five cents worth. And we do have the memories......

A great write Dan. Quite often I\'m caught up in the past as I\'m a very nostalgic sort. But I\'m always aware of moving forward. But this is a great reminder for me to appreciate my past but also to appreciate today and look forward too. ; )
