An understanding of other wraps itself round every line and a Dad must have been proud to read your warm response of what life was about for him too. A moving read Dan

I do like the whole poem, PD, but especially the ending. If quantum theory is right about the vibrating strings, we are vibrating beings and maybe that is the reason we enjoy music so much!

Good write, music has always been in my soul, it is so important to me both listening, playing and singing it.

Creating a good musical sound is a great gift and shouldnt be kept hidden for music brings joy, relaxation, acceptance and understanding. And to the player an immense reward to see others within the trance he/she creates.
Good to read.

Very nice write! I think music is very important and like you said \"is food for the soul\". I don\'t know what I would do without it. Again, enjoyed the write very much!

Wow, an interesting piece on our minds, this is something I occasionally think about, but you\'ve expressed it better than I could without a doubt. Brilliant piece!

Good questions of where our inner senses begin and how - - I like too the way the verse ends with a positive reminder in the final lines. Great read Dan

Good poem, PD! The mind is a curious thing. You are right, you do have to know the outside to understand the inside. Like yin and yang, good and bad. There is a balance. But can we really bend illusion and time? Gravity will bend space time, so maybe mind can bend illusion?

Happy Birthday Dan! May the light of the birthday cake candles light your way and your future! You went through a lot, but triumphed, and I am sure that with your kids and your partner, and maybe a tiny little bit of us here at MPS you will have a future to look forward to and to enjoy!

Awesome writing PD. It is sad to see the older people we live so much and sometimes they forget who we are. They begin to get like a child again. Old babies.

Alzheimer\'s? Not a easy subject for me. My adoptive mom passed from Alzheimer\'s. If you can get past the tears, \"Still Alice\" is a great movie about the disease. I cried a river through that movie.
Excellent poem for your nan. ; )

PD, this is a very tender and loving poem about a subject that many of us experience with loved ones, and one day may experience ourselves, whether we will know it or not!

Great poem, and wicked pic. Reading all comments before i make mine i say this. Not only do i wish you the utmost joy in your life, for like my fellow poets here i have read your heart outpourings upon my screen, but that a love that has been searched for by both parties will be a love that is cherished and nurtured by both.
Gladdens my heart to see that pic and read your words.

dusk arising said:

To all men i think motherhood is amazing. The unconditional love involved is amazing. Sure we see feminine motherly love and its an example mostly traditional man has cast off but it seems us poets have retained that feminine side within our psyche. Our feelings spill out. Really nicely expressed toughtful writing sir.

The duality of mankind is expressed wonderfully here in a juxtaposition of relationships and loss. Where we learn and grow as we move through life\'s joy and sorrow. Wonderful write.
