Alzheimer\'s? Not a easy subject for me. My adoptive mom passed from Alzheimer\'s. If you can get past the tears, \"Still Alice\" is a great movie about the disease. I cried a river through that movie.
Excellent poem for your nan. ; )

PD, this is a very tender and loving poem about a subject that many of us experience with loved ones, and one day may experience ourselves, whether we will know it or not!

So sad that some minds come to confusion - a tender piece of caring tribute to the gracefulness always found in a well-loved Nan.

Beautifully said, PD! Even though we are supposed to be wordsmiths, there are times when words are not enough, or there are no words.
I like this poem!

Great poem, and wicked pic. Reading all comments before i make mine i say this. Not only do i wish you the utmost joy in your life, for like my fellow poets here i have read your heart outpourings upon my screen, but that a love that has been searched for by both parties will be a love that is cherished and nurtured by both.
Gladdens my heart to see that pic and read your words.

Agree with Ron - once love gets inside it can wreak havoc but keep ahold of what feels like the real thing Dan.

To all men i think motherhood is amazing. The unconditional love involved is amazing. Sure we see feminine motherly love and its an example mostly traditional man has cast off but it seems us poets have retained that feminine side within our psyche. Our feelings spill out. Really nicely expressed toughtful writing sir.

The duality of mankind is expressed wonderfully here in a juxtaposition of relationships and loss. Where we learn and grow as we move through life\'s joy and sorrow. Wonderful write.

PD, this is truly an amazing poem. I love the way you refer to the duality, not only in us, but in everything. Our black and white, our yin and yang, our good and bad.

A wonderful reminder of the time we were dual - -- the inspired phrase that will stay with me Dan was \"here was a moment Both things existed\" - a super read.

myself and me said:

I feel you. I feel you. Hope you feel better now.

We are humans, we all have our weakness, we all have our low point, for some, they were trapped there and lost themselves. It is sad but it happened all the time.

Can not recall who wrote the line \"I am so poor, the only thing left is money\". On the contrast, there is a famous line in the movie \"golden fiddles\" went like this \" we are not poor, we just don\'t have money\".
Great writing.

Being a child of the 50\'s and 60\'s, your poem brought up memories of the Hippie movement, love is everything, living off the land. A time when the worth of a man was measured not in pieces of silver, but in love and hard labor.
