Mental health matters to me

You, me and the rest of the poets on here are the lucky ones who know there is something within us which needs to cry out. We use these words to mine for the centres of our toubled minds. We are lucky because we know there is that need to express something wrong inside. Lucky? ..yes indeed.... those who are carrying something unusual or wrong inside but cannot realise it is there are not so fortunate. Instead of fine words, such as yours today, they physically carry out actions which can be harmful to themselves, others and all of us.
Mental health is a major issue for each of us in our journey, each an individual unique path, through life.
Dan, if we are to be judged on the content and achievements of our life\'s span, then surely the most significant facets will be not how high we jumped but how high we had to crawl to overcome the obstacles life presented and then, highest of all - how we reached out our hand to ease the burden of others along their path.
