Thanks Michael ~ Ever since the 1840\'s PHOTOGRAPHY has been a great visual record of Social History prior to the we relied on painting which (as you know) are often stylised ! Love the picture ~ love the poem ~ Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN ~ If one painted that in Art Class (Old Man with DOG feeding a LAMB !) it would lack the LOVE ! Keep opening PANDORA\'S BOX for us ! B.

Powerful painting ... confounding poem. Both linger in my mind, so each has merit, wouldn\'t you say? Good work, Michael!

I thought this would be a bit complex, going by the title. The pic and the poems seems to go together. Is that your brain working, in the pic?! Good write Michael.
Too much thinking now - got headache! heehee.

As Fred said, that is a great painting, so much to see in it.
There is much to see in the words as well, words can have much to see in them and strangely have the same effect on me as the painting.

First of all Michael, the painting is absolutely gorgeous! Now to the poem: If you think this is bad, I would really like to know how bad, bad, looks like! I love it. So here is my take on it: If your fortune goes down a bit, according to your own statement of opinion, you are free to look at it in the abstract. Which means you have enough money left to live happily ever after! So, how can I criticize that? You have to do a lot better to write something bad! ;-)

I think the result is more than \'okayish\'! You not only followed the rules of this poem, but at the same time managed to convey something tender, meaningful and beautiful at the same time. Kudos!
Do me a favor though, write something real bad so we can rip you apart instead of having to look for more and more nice things to say! :-)

Nice! But you should know that that first kiss in the morning is NOT on the mouth. There are enough other exciting places to kiss, where breath does not matter! LOL

LOVE THE PAINTING ~ Thanks for posting ! As you know I love to go to Church ~ BUT ~ I\'m not a \"hair shirt\" Christian ! If I am to enjoy the sermon ~ I need a comfortable seat ~ even Football Stadiums now have them ! The CHURCH is the PEOPLE not the PEWS (or Gothiic Arches or Stained Glass Windows ~ Clerical Dress etc !). Evangelical Churches are warm have comfy seats etc which is why they are popular. Older people often join us and say \"Why does the C of E have to be so cold ~ dark ~ dank and dusty ?\"
Love the limericks especially No. 2 ~ Yours BRIAN
