Brian here ~ Good Evening FAY thanks for an elegant poem with an excellent theme ! I lived in the Mersey and my first Girl Friend lived on the Dee (Neston) All rivers have a life of theirown and Coastal Rivers ebb & flow with the tde. Rivers are a very important food source in the natural Food Chains & Food Webs ! The variety of life in British Rivers is more than 100 species not counting microorganisms ! Furry animals Stoat - Vole - Otter - Beaver etc are especially interesting ! Rivers & Aquaspirits are important in Folk Lore ! Thnaks for sharing - A GEM !

Blessings & Peace & Joy & Love

I like this quite a bit. It tells of rivers, and their story. To describe the life in something that many simply overlook as a \"Little thing\" is already incredible. I like how you gave them all their fair chance. A wonderful write, Fay.

Good, good write Fay. Reminds me of a Neil Innes song from 1968:-
The Urban Spaceman.

\'I don\'t feel sorrow
I don\'t feel pain:
If you were to knock me down
I\'d just stand up again.

I\'ve wridden on the waves you so beautifully express about in the English Channel. The sea I worked on fishing boats 4 years for the first 5 years of my life, yet I can still smell it, felt it and love it and that the salty water still lingers on the tip of my tongue. Beautifully written..!!

BRIAN HERE ~ Thanks for sharing FAY ! Love the shape ~ three neat blank verse quadrilaterals ! Reminded me of the six margarine boxes of veggie soup ~ I make on a Saturday Morning ~ with a little help from Sous-Chef Angela ! I then freeze them for use in the week. Of such activities is True Love forged ! Cauliflower & Stilton last Saturday !
Each of your elegant quadrilaterals contained an apt description of the waves crashing in the North Cornish Coast ~ which I have witnessed (and sailed in) awesome !
