A relationship with poetry is indeed all within our own perception of writing and putting eccentric word on a path which lead down to where the heart is pulled hard on it\'s strings. From the experiences of writing I\'ve discovered on here is miraculously effecting in which I among many others leaves a trace of kinship within all our poetry magic and that is what you have achieved on this poem. Great work, my friend.

So beautiful... Yes, the mysteries of the writing process. You couldn\'t have said it better: Such is their means of expression / that seams of poetic mesh mould a moonlight / magic... It\'s a mysterious process and, I think, you can never quite trace it, pinpoint how it happens because so much of it is unconscious. I think the muse speaks through poets\' unconscious. Thank you for this lovely poem.

GOOD EVENING FAY : ANGELA HERE : Its 10am WEDNESDAY and I\'m so excited because my PAPA & MAMA arrived yesterday and are Staying with Ruths Aunt & Uncle ! I have a week off Work to show them round Auckland (first visit to NZ) and visit some local Vineyards. PAPA will give some Lectures on RIOJA WINE which is very popular in NZ ! I loved this POEM ! Brians Parents have a pond with WATER LILLIES and despite it being a bit stagnant (since the PUMP broke !) it does produce very beautiful LILLIES ! I love the PHOTO : Love all Water Lillies ! I like the story you tell in your very elegantly structured Poem.
In the opening verses we have the LILY discovered & described ! In verses 4 & 5 you give some TLC and offer a New Home ! In verses 6 & & You have found her a New Home where HER beauty can FLOURISH - It is a wonderful PARABLE about how we could (and should) care for Animals & our fellow Humans who survive in a POOR ENVIRONMENT ! Thanks for Sharing & Caring
Blessings & Peace & Love
Yours as always ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡

Maybe if you had gotten to her before
You may have extended her life a little more
But all living things have a shelf live in Gods store
Soon to become a memory, to recall, as you see the sunset by the shore

I held one once at an organized meeting with a falconer...... looking into his eyes was like seeing the meaning of life. I felt like a hunter in Henry VIII\'s court for about a minute!

Now THERE is an expression of love for an often overlooked beauty. What a wonderful thought, to take a poorly, struggling plant and offer it a new life, a new chance to be what it was conceived to be.
Lovely thoughts behind this piece Fay.
Van Gogh came to mind. He painted sunflowers several times during his illness and recovery. If you notice, most of the paintings contain sunflowers in a very poor condition.

Indeed a Steely piece for this feared hunter. I have seen sparrow hawks being pestered by a crowd of lesser birds to scare them away but never the superb falcon hawk.
I have been looked in the eye by a falcon as he flew along a road in the opposite direction to my driving... that won\'t leave me... an important second\'s glance as on he/she swept to prepare the hunt.
They are such purposeful creatures and so are your words today, nothing cute or cuddly, quite the opposite.

Wonderful bird, the fastest creature in the world, I have seen them in flight but never seen them capture there prey as I have with sparrowhawks, sea eagles and kestrels.
Good tribute to a wonderful bird.
