OMG FAY (ANGELA here) I am still in shock ! I never saw you as \"A Lad\\y with a Snake\" in a caberet ! You Poem is experiential enough to actually be true : What an unexpected experience . Love the final stanza !

Moved, haunted
and forever beguiled by
your sinuous beauty : Awesome !

I have seen Lady Snake Handlers in Spain and transiently been entwined by a 12 ft yellow Python : incredible feeling. As a PHYSIO I am intriguied by their fleibility : a snake skeleton is a masterpiece ! The Snake Ladies are contortionists and just as flexible as their Pythons ! SINUOUS is a great word to describe their infinite flexibility : AMEN. Thanks for sharing : great Photo and an ever greater Poem !
Blessings & love through sharing

I was also lucky enough to experience this at a show put on for children at a local Garden Centre. Quite an experience as your super pen describes.

An experience beyond my own. I can\'t say i\'m envious as there is no desire to be \'pythoned\' within me. Was there such within you beforehand or did this wonderful feeling you\'ve described come completely out of the blue with no prior snake envy?

Thanks FAY for sharing another graphic Poem & Picture. On the East Coast (similar to the West) Fishermen do need a lot Defiance ~ of the Sea ~ of Dwindling Fish Stock ~ and of those of us who crave & consume the Fish unaware of their Dangers & Defiance ! The East Coast is more friable and hundreds of Buildings have already been lost to the Sea ! We should never underestimate the Power of the Sea and the Defiance of ALL FISHERMEN !

I read these words earlier today and vowed to return later, as indeed I have just done... whilst away from home, I read them again sitting on the old harbour wall at West Bay, my little patch of the ocean.... in essence, your words then have been pounding me all day dear Fay... and I have not yet tired of them.... Thanks for sharing FAY ~ such a omnicompetant Ode ! The Countryside in Cornwall : Essex : New Zealand is replete with sounds especially @ Dawn & Dusk when 21st C Cacophony is more silent ! But these place specific sounds tell you exactly where you are ~ without words ! We all live near the Coast and your third stanza reprises the Sounds of the Coast ! Softer in Essex than Cornwall or Auckland more SEASIDE than SEA COAST ! Thanks for amplifying the sounds of Natures Wordless Voice. Great poem to recite !

Ribbit! You brought to mind the quiet of woodland with a gentle roar above as breeze plays through the tall foliage and the creaking of a tree trunk as it remembers the need to sway. Musty damp aromas fill the air.
All taken for granted in my youth.
