AUTUMN COMES RUNNING.

Thanks FAY ~ increasingly my fave Season. The leaves ~ in all their Autumn Glory ~ seem to linger longer on the branches before forming a rainbow carpet at our feet. Your poem ~ replete with Rhyme & Rhythm ~ captures beautifully the awesome transition from Summer to Winter ~ AMEN ! Yours as always BRIAN. ANGELA sends her love XX but she is sulking because its SPRING in Auckland and she is missing swishing through the Autumn Leaves and ME of course !

Poignant - \"Best is closure so hunger can then turn elsewhere for comfort\".
Wisdom says \'put it away\' whenever you can. Pain of loves loss accentuates solitude, solitude encourages the mind to wander into sorrowful valleys where waterfalls await.
But wait, the birds still sing, the sky is still blue and blossoms call out for appreciation. Life does go on and the passing years have given grace and knowledge - a cloak we wear.

THANKS FOR SHARING THIS FAY : ANGELA here : BRIAN is at work and Ive finished for the day 9:30pm! After I turned 17 the feminine longing inside of me was UNSATED from time to time. I guess I was yearning for Someone Special who would Light my Fire! When I met Brian He gave me a deep glow deep inside my Heart and I was SATED & have been ever since. Its hard being so far apart : but when he phones & skypes me and I read his His Love Poems etc I am reinsated! Loved the pensiveness & longing in the Poem & the Picture : BEAUTIFUL Love as always ANGELA 🧡🧡🧡🧡

I was so inspired by this that in writing a comment i actually wrote my next poem to be posted here.
I believe i know the healing of quiet which is not the same thing as silence. Quiet can bring peace, relaxation, harmony and wellbeing, repairing our soul.

Beautifully written observations of that creation of a lifetimes bond between a doting pair.
Brings a joyous smile to my face and memories of my puppy bundle of fluff \'Zoe\' now long departed.

My Friend you would not tell
with such high zest ................
To Children : ardent for some
desperate GLORY ; the old lie
DULCE ET DECORUM EST
PRO PATRIA MORI !
It is sweet and fitting
to die for ones Country
RUPERT OWEN killed in battle (WW1)
4 November 1918 aged 25
Yes FAY all War is futile but while
Aggressive MEN rule the WORLD
it is inevitable. I pray there will never
be a WORLD WAR (like WW1 & WW2)
ever again. It would destroy the Planet
ONCE & for ALL.
Thanks for sharing & caring :
Love ANGELA 🧡 and BRIAN 😎

How can we be made in gods image if we send our young to fight the cowardly politicians battles? Maybe god is not so benevolent as we were led to believe? This is a cruel world.

A fine write Fay. Yes, on a youth theme, it\'s said pre-teens even, say, age 12, don\'t have full \'road-sense\'. Here young lives wasted in learning and going to war. We\'re the only species that do it. Even animals only kill for food, and because they need to.
