Metaphor for many things. But for me with love I trees I\'ll suffice with the oak. Here in Louisiana we have a saying, it takes a hundred years for them to grow and another hundred to die. Near our coast we have lost many due erosion and saltwater intrusion. Love the poem.

\"Granite takes no answering back\". Love that line. Like the blackness of the rock and the darkness of the message make the poem cohesive.

Thanks FAY for sharing an elegant poem with a warning message. There are many rocky (and iceberg) dangers in the Sea often hidden but always sinister ! It\'s the same with LIFE there are many hidden rocks and pitfalls ~ which we should all avoid !

A great reflective poem Fay! You had been the leading poet of that disbanded Swedish poetry site - \'Poetfreak.com\' for the last 6 years now! Though I had met you earlier in \'Poemhunter.com\' initially. This site will benefit from your postings no doubt! God bless! - Raj, New Delhi, 24th Jan 2017

Damp grayish pearls forest air hangs here. Mysterious peace makes mourning relent. Love makes life cheerful and regeneration shows us destiny. Very interesting poem is shared here.
