Poverty provokes thought and brings sorrow in mind and spirit. We fear for their future and think much more in worries. When will this cruel insane world yield to the needs of these forsaken children ? Question asked in last stanza fills mind of a reader in deep thought. No fearless pages to painless future we witness in such condition. Poverty takes these children in to tragic path. This is brought up wonderfully and people across this world should get awareness to save children and their futures with proper knowledge. An Amazing poem this is.

Clutching large seeds of glimmery gold they have brought half of this world in to alive condition by working hard to the hot comfort of flame keeping away winter\'s cold. Their possession is wonderful really. This poem is a beautiful tribute poem.

Primitive gulls are riding very high with waves of life. There is storm on the horizon and this is just along with fishing. To fasten the entrances to the lower part of a ship using wooden boards. to prepare for a difficult situation is wonderfully managed here for protective life. Knives are flashing at harbour\'s side. Earning their crust from wild sea is amazing and this mesmerizes mind and this is meant for togetherness. They are brave like ocean. May God bless them all! A brilliant poem this is. This reflects life very well.

Legacy of light\'s departure confronts the tail-end of innocence and carefree life. Calmness is thrown far with force. This is so sad that life acts with changes with merciless views. Getting betrayal is painful and this leaves wounds and scars in mind. Offence scribbles memory. Uncontrolled strength is gathered. Forgiveness has taste in life to solve many problems. This is wise to climb up from stage of bitter betrayal to a moment of fortune, joy and success. Very thought provoking and thoughtful poem is shared here with excellent expression.

Love it. A very graphic description of the pain and hurt felt from betrayal. A ray of hope in the strength of her to keep on climbing. Well spoken. - Phil A.

\"Innocence and calm hurled away\". You have such a unique descriptive pen. There is so much we learn about ourselves and others when trust is violated. Great write.

Thank you FAY for another poem elegant in both structure and subject. The hallmark of a Good Poet. The sentiments in your poem exactly complement the angst and resolve in the poster. Thanks for caring B.

Images that jump from the paper to the reader: of herring, sails, boats, gulls, nets, hatches, knives and salt barrels. Olden times when going to sea was far more dangerous than it is today. All to earn a mere crust from the sea. What a great poem. Loved every word of it. - Phil A.

Appreciated more by those of us who used wood and coal that we gathered to make our fires. Great tribute. Many of those men gave their lives.

Thanks FAY and a wonderful tribute to COAL. It is a complex material ~ consisting mainly of carbon which is why it is such a good and practical solid fuel ! It is also a source of chemicals Coal gas ~ Coke ~ Benzene ~ Naphthalene (moth balls !) and Phenol etc. These are important chemicals for the synthesis of drugs ~ plastics etc. It is a shame to just burn it ! A great write, full of history, and description of what was a very dangerous occupation. Without the miners the world would be a much different place, maybe still with maps half empty. Progress would certainly have been much slower. Loved this one. - Phil A.
