Such a sad read Fred. You don\'t come across as you describe. Thankfully I\'m still full of optimism always looking forward to the next poem, the next painting, the next day. Nonetheless this is a super write.

Life is like a carousel ride Fred. We all go through it. Sometimes we get tired of it, and then we reminisce about it. And that ever elusive brass ring not always within reach. Great write Fred.

This is such a well written poem, Fred, better than I\'ve seen in a while. I hope that you aren\'t as depressed as poem reflects. Awesome rhyme and cadence. I can assure you when you are on the other side, you won\'t be watching with a sad face. Again, awesome poem! Definitely a fav!

Nice one. A few months ago i woke from what i look back on as about ten years of doing/achieving nothing with my life. You can bet that i live the words of your piece here to the full. Good to read.

A fine write Fred. Some \'die every day\' as it were - when they hear me sing! Well, something dies inside of them - all hope is gone that my tune will improve! lol.

Fear not the other side my friend, but live each day to its fullest. Your presence here in the physical world is just a trial run for the real world. Great write Fred.

Always true Fred, a book is not judged by it\'s cover. I\'d say your experiment turned out very well.

Thanks FRED for a beautifully penned Character Study ~ it did NOT needed a picture because you painted her perfectly ~ she triggered all my senses ! I saw he beauty and sadness and poverty ~ I scented her perfume her perfume & neglect and heard the sadness in her voice. I would have loved to touch her ~ to taste her ~ but perhaps that is another chapter. I am old enough (34) to have encountered Ladies of her ilk ~ but (as you indicate) their barriers are difficult to penetrate ~ BUT ~ in my experience they are always ready to accept a drink and some chat ~ BUT ~ at a distance ! Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN

You have a great imagination. I too have dabbled in \"fantasy\" poems. They are fun to do and yours was so well done! Very vivid imagery. Felt like I was watching this scene play out!
