An imagined tragedy in the midst of a flaming love. Really the stuff of nighmares. Joni Mitchell wrote a song which i have to say shouted at me on completion of reading your authors note then your piece itself \"why do you dream flat tires?\"

It happens FRED and good to be prepared when it does ~ even if only poetically ~ Most sad love poems hark back to the past or lament the present. Few project to the future ! This is gem of nostalgia to come ~ RIAN

Yes Fred, sometimes to write we need to put ourselves in an imaginary world. Having the feelings are if it was real. Great writing.

This is always the way when sudden death takes our dearly beloved - your pen wrote the truth about senses picking up vibes from the past - a read to bring me near tears Fred.

Others may disagree but I always think the mark of a good poet is being able to write from imagination as well as from experience- this proves it.

Yes we continually move e away from the comfortable room to the next but often we have a choice of doors thru which to pass dont we. Therein is the dilemma, which to choose and once chosen we are often nagged by the \'i shoulda taken the other door\' doubts.
Of course the white door at the end of the tunnel we are told is the biggy..... once you go thru that you\'re back where you started ready to be reborn and a whole new corridor of doors. Great writing.

We have opened so many doors in our life, and each to a different place, we explored, we experienced, we success, we failed, so much behind each door.
Love the door story.

An excellent poem! I think we all have that realization that if we could see our future, would we? It\'s a very hard question for each and every one of us. Great write!

Awesome writing Fred. I always stand curious and excited behind a door before it opens for me. Remember that most of the time if you don\'t like what is behind the door you can always go back to the room before. The one that you already know.

Very good write Fred, sometimes we just want to remain in our comfort zone but it could be a wonderfully fulfilling surprise if you open that door. Many of the doors that I have opened in my life have brought me sorrow but more of them have brought me wonder and love.

Thanks Fred for putting this out for us to read . I\'m impressed with your writing , it\'s not that easy and you made it seem effortless. I think you had a nice premise and told the story well
This piece also makes me question my own outlook on the day to day, on the mundane, the unexciting routine of life ...
It\'s a beautiful day Fred , thanks

Great writing Fred in both your literary style and of course content. People find me odd like Jack because i\'m cheerful. Monday mornings to me are a time i\'m happy to be out and about at work whereas so many find these mornings a chore. I guess the i\'m blessed with the ability to see the good and positive in most things and in my comments on poets works here on mps i try to pass this on, if i\'m not making one of my daft jokes. Forgiving people who do you a disservice becomes easy if you take time to think of their motivations too, anyway i certainly wouldn\'t want the baggage of carrying any negative grudges around with me. Whoever our god is, \'he/she/it\' is a god of love and shows us love, once we begin to understand love then love itself begins to teach us more about love. A wonderful circle.

Fred, wonderful. I could be here and write all the good about your writing but would take a long time. I have a lot of that Jack on myself, so much that one day I\'ve met a customer and I was so happy about seeing her and her project. See looked at me and said; you are so happy all the time that it is disgusting. The whole world is suffering and you are always happy. What is wrong with you? And I told her; exactly because you see so many wrong things in the world is why I need to be happy all the time. The world have enough of unhappy people, I don\'t need to contribute to it. Luckily I did not lose the customer.
I love being Jack.

Such a wonderful story to read. Beauty in sadness, marvelous. I sure learned a lot of from this ten-year-old boy. It remind me of the movie \"Forrest Gump\".
One thing should remember, do not trust any psychologist, they themselves need treatment.
