I was a surprise too - I am 6ft and both my parents were quite short - but Joe the milkman was a big man. Great poem Fred.

Thanks FRED ~ behind the Physical Universe I see Beauty ~ Order ~ Purpose ~ Design it is a \"Thought Out\" Universe by our Creator God not just Blind Chance as the Humanists and Evolutionists would have us believe. In discussion wit the Holy Trinity God said \"let us design and create H.Sapiens in our Likeness a Spiritual Being ~ Just a little lower than the ANGELS ~ NOT ~ Just a little higher than the Apes. So we are designed by GOD a separate and special CREATION. Able to understand and communicate with GOD through Prayer and the BIBLE and now everything else through GOOGLE ! Thanks for caring & sharing BRIAN Please check my latest B & S Fusion on DRINK ~ Thanks B

Thought (Something to wrap your mind around)
myself and me said:

Big Bang is too big for my tiny brain, and this \"Thought\" is much bigger than the Big Bang. It did not wrap my mind around, it blew my mind out.
It is such a complicated logic poem.

An interesting word, verisimilitude, used herein from the perspective of conscious mind perceiving the soul. Perhaps the soul perceives the body-mind the same way, you think? Another splendid, thought-provoking poem from your pen, Fred!

Ooh a very \'psychological\' poem Fred. Great descriptions, as we can\'t physically see our thoughts, emotions, etc. Well, maybe some, such as sorrow expressed in tears, etc.
Ahh, veri-wotsit, long word there! *Looks up dictionary*! Lots of long words in fact!

These verses shine, friend. One of your finest. You took a subject that I think can lean towards cliche and gave it a new voice. Wonderful!

I learned a new word which no doubt i will promptly forget \'verisimilitude\'. In fact your piece, had it not mentioned verisimilitude could be said to contain verisimilitude. I know exactly what you mean. At least in all probability i do. Good writing.

And wonderful it sounds, too, Fred.

There is nothing so profound as \'you\' and you ability to know it.

A pleasure and a celebration. Thanks Fred.

Like your attitude to age.

Great poem Fred. You got this perfect. Aging is not that bad. I feel better now then when I was twenty. Now I take better care of myself, still looking good for my age, don\'t do things just because others do. I\'m good, I feel good. I don\'t have problems with clothes. They all fit.

Thanks FRED ~ MPS is important for sharing and caring with Young and Old ! I\'m still in the first third of my life (just !) but I am encouraged by the Joy (and sometimes silliness) of the OLD (60+) and the brashness and sensual freedom of Young and very Young and their ability to verbalise PAIN that we would never share. I tell them it\'s CATHARTIC ~ I wish i knew what that word really meant ~ TO THEM ! Thanks for caring & sharing ~ BRIAN

\"Marveling at our capacity to stay young\" ... reflects my feelings about ageing exactly, Fred. I keep my brain active and challenged, stay in shape, and absolutely refuse to become \'old\'. Your poem nails it!

Michael Edwards said:

When I retired I looked at elderly people in my town with big bellies and badly dressed and vowed not me. I exercise daily and take a great pride in my wardrobe - I don\'t wear baggy trousers (where do old men buy them?) or tee shirts covered in undignified graffiti ( if I do wear them which is not often I prefer plain coloured ones of good quality). I wear modern clothing but suitable for my age. Grow old with dignity . Always something to plan for with plenty of interests and NEVER look back. So yes this resonates with me - a great piece Fred. Oh yes I also like to rant - my one concession to age - Victor Meldrew is my role model.

You pen well the right attitude to aging Fred - we have choices as to what passing years do to our minds. A fine reminder.

Excellent thought and writing.
