The very sad fact of war heroes who get forgotten or those who did not return to hearth and home is so clearly presented here with your pen painting their sacrifice with legitimate questions - what answers we give re. peace ever after can never be said of all the wars since. Thanks for this solemn reminder D.A.

Very strong write d a.

Innocence certainly seems to be meaningless in this day and age.

A shudder succeeds this haunt of a read and stays long after D.A. - - -- Fate indeed often hangs on the uncaring neck of delusional judgement. This must go into my faves.

I think stating the obvious would be far too simple .. you have clearly thought long and hard about which words fit best and how and where to place them... even the bold font and large print cry out to be not only seen, but considered ....

when the finger is pointed.. a feeding frenzy aint often far behind..... is it.

powerful and deftly woven words of volcanic rage,
appreciated the broken bell imagery from first stanza being reinforced within the physical shaping of the poem,
brilliant!

Someone said Revd Ian Paisley said once: \'I\'m a man of peace; and if anyone disagrees with that, I\'ll punch them on the nose!\' Doh!

Fido was there at the battle
Where armour and swords they did rattle
He barked to warn Orchi
Not to point to the sky
So Harold did then lose the battle.

ANGELA & BRIAN said:

ANGELA HERE - Good Morning DA - Thank you for caring & sharing a very heart braking but all too true story of the bewilderment and heart rending sobs of a Child whose MUMMY has been swept into Eternity by One Glass Too Many. The MANTRA is *Dont Drink & Drive* but thousands ignore it every week - often with deadly consequences. A Child needs both Parents because a Mummy & Daddy bring different aspects of love to the Marriage & the Children. For a Lttle Girl to lose her Mummy is the most unkindest cut of ALL. The Littlr Girl needs daily reassurance *That Daddy will always Come Home !

Joy & Peace to You & Yours

Nice reminder of those almost silly, almost trivial times that ultimately matter most. Here our sun shone... well, we all think it is ours at the time, but you\'ve rightfully claimed this day\'s sun! Thanks for coining a term we\'ve always needed: chanced love. You got me with \"where chanced love rejoiced in the rain\" but I invoke my right to silence for further explanation. PS Thank all you youngsters for regularly and vividly reminding us of romantic love in all its disarray.
