Some of your phrasing in this poem D.A. will ring true to many a heart - - - for me the phrase \"but I can\'t hide
you
...from my mind\" is creative and so inspiring and that is just one to remember - into my faves with this one for sure.

Excellent formatting!

I never let anything slip away
I ran like a horse in the winds
Chased rainbows each day
Whispered sweet nothings
It was time who passed my way

anyone who ever wished they had tried \'just one more time\' with a significant someone, can\'t help but relate to this words,
liked the distance in some of your lines, forces people to dwell on your words and thus reawaken their own dormant feelings they buried without confronting

ANGELA HERE - Afternoon DARK - Love the melancholy & throaty SAX ideal partner to this poem. Such Poems when put into print mode centre and look slim - we call them El Grecos.
We all experience sleeplessness from the *Tears of Yesterday* then mercifully into our Dreams come someone who brings Peace to our souls! Brian & I are still in our Honeymoon Period (6
Months!) but the Pain in our sub-consciousness\' will take time to erase! Thanks for sharing a beautiful but thought provoking Poem.

Blessings & Peace & Joy
Love Angela - Brian & Smokey !!!

art is at its best, when taking such a sombre and bleak subject, then creating something that transcends the tragedy it depicts

A haunt of a read and with your apt usage of short-line wording that tragic last crossing becomes ever more real. Sad but so vividly written.

I\'m gonna be heartless - it\'s a real pain you know, these people jumping in front of trains. It makes me late home. It\'s most inconvenient.
Can\'t they jump off a river bridge or something? Yes, I know - all I think about is me, me, me (lol).

BRIAN here -Good Afternoon DUSK! I was born near the Sea (Liverpool NE Coast) and now I am back near the Sea - Essex SE Coast! For me the Sea always invokes the most spine chilling stories - of Life & Death & Love! In some respect Stories (Poems) that recount Dreams are the best of all - because they come from our Sub-conscious and therefore always have more of a *Ring of Reality* than mere fiction. The tragedy is we always wake up before the dénouement!
Loved FINLANDIA it struck the right tone for this soporific ode.

Thanks for sharing - Love Joy & Peace to You

A fine write dusk. Ahh, a cue for another song from me. \'Finlandia\' is used for \'Be still, my soul, the Lord is on your side\'.
