ok I\'ll admit Wall-E is a film I have a soft spot for and I thank you for introducing me to these last two provocative lines from Mary Oliver\'s \'The Summer Day\':
\'Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?\'

I found this is an intriguing read and your commentary questions and insightful answers: apt, especially in these challenging times,
thanks for sharing

Well that\'s no idle ability, unless you are blessed and just wandering virtual fields! A nice poem to riff off M. E. M. Haha it makes me think back not forward but that\'s a matter of years not words. A good read thanks.

I think you have what it takes - the ability to see some of what exists and the fire to wish to do something about it. Please take that fire seriously, tend it for real, and not just in the poem.

ANGELA HERE ~ Good Evening M E M thanks for sharing A very moving Poem in the Classical Vilanelle Style. The Subject *Aprehension about the Memory of One when we die* suits the genre and the pathos is reinforced by the repetition & rhyme ! Thanks for sharing ~ please check our site.

Hello Andy! Have you assumed a new role; are you Chief Bot or just Bot Representative? How should I address you? Are they/you planning a massive takeover, when all responses will be in the form ??? ?
But before the situation goes really down the gurgler then it should be incumbent upon someone somewhere to answer the following questions:
How? When? Why? Who?

Kind regards, Dave
PS Instructions re the location of a \'smiley\' you supplied earlier did not yield any result. So until such time as this little issue is resolved, you will have to make a guess as to whether I\'m kidding or not, won\'t you?

Oh i read into this that thing which so many have injected into their fearful childhood minds and haunts them for the rest of their lives.... god, heaven and hell and all that stuff.

Me and many like me cut those strings and found freedom.

Religious types lost in their bible babble etc need to be reminded that love, goodness, charity, and a wholesome way of living and caring existed long before some bloke invented their way of thinking.

I related to your piece in this way and found it most enjoyable. So much so that i\'m adding it to my favourites.

Did we imagine starting 2020 that we would enter such enigmatic times? How ironic that, midst natural challenges that should unite mankind, the petty politics of the resentful continues to assert itself. That is the most bizarre thing to me... it\'s as if they will politicize an asteroid about to collide with earth.

I worry that in the event of a second wave of restrictions, brought about by lax management of current restrictions, will lead to serious civil unrest in usa.

dusk arising said:

Some of us conceal life\'s scars more effectively than others do. Some people would weep everytime they recall the cause of those scars so rather than weep they are poker faced. You can\'t read a book by looking at the cover is a very true saying.
There are streets full of survivors who you will never see. They conceal it so well.

Mind you, if they were all poets, reading their poetry would be revealing.

Well written, M.E.M., we are all survivors, all with different scars. And sometimes, when compared to others, we realize how insignificant our own scars are. That is why we have to reach out to those whose with huge scars!
