Neville,

Your poem has made me think of so many moments...especially of days gone by.

After reading this poem and some of the comments, after my long absence due to health reasons, my interpretation is a bit different than some of the other poets’. I’ve personalized and internalized this wonderful write of yours. It has given me a healthy dose of what is to come. I shall accept and welcome each day with a smile.

Thank you.

Sweet, heartfelt, and glorious words.
May your \"parched\" \"garden\" forever flourish and her \"tears\" disappear.
This poem begins sadly yet ends gloriously, somewhat magically. Who would have thought of \"wisteria...weeping amethysts\"?
Like this format you have been using lately. Is it now a signature thing with you? - Phil A

\'Our garden
may well be parched
…
But the wisteria
is weeping amethysts\'...
(we never miss our water
till the well runs dry
we never miss our woman
till they say: goodbye...)
brilliantly emotive, such a relatable wording
of a cherished love, being expressed proud!
treasured more: for having been grazed
by that harsh bitterness of a lost love\'s, drought..
a great read
imbued with subtle nuances of soothing as well
I enjoyed this, on such an intricately private level
my friend, I thank you!

Violet shaded tears of amethyst treasure long loving moments of yesteryear. Parched days, robbed of youthful vigour, rewarded by the rainfall of rich memory and here the amethyst treasure can be reached out and grasped in the flesh.

You brought that rain to us today?
Someone says \'Ooh, it\'s been dry lately\'. Then the rain turns up before you know it! lol.
Is this lass sad over something?!

Sheen
MendedFences27 said:

\"A stolen kiss\" might bring the \"sheen\" back to a blind person\'s eyes. It might also imply \"a seed of a soul\" that otherwise would seem missing. That \"sheen\" becomes mighty important if the eyes belong to a loved one.
Or maybe I just read the whole thing wrong.
The expression of warmness between the two, the unexpectedness of the incident, and the closing line are what drove me to that conclusion. I hope I didn\'t misread you.
And if I did your poem is still masterful in it\'s use of similes for \"sheen\" and clever in how it\'s used to create the moment of the \"kiss.\" - Phil A

Pets and their owners seem to merge
into one creature, likewise husbands and wives become like one being, lovers also, over time. Each reflects the other, but you have summed it all up in 15 words, and added an additional aspect of breakage. Very powerful piece. - Phil A.

MendedFences27 said:

There is an artist\'s palette for all of the truths to be told. One of every shade and hue. You have chosen \"blue\" and as though something sad or disheartening, having to do with the ocean or sky. has happened. Traveling, maybe to a sad affair.
One cannot speak of sadness in any color but \"blue\", and could not speak of happiness in that same tone.
There are simply too many truths and too many colors for the artist to speak or paint a \"Truth\" that pleases everyone.
If you ended your poem, would it be that \"blue is for ocean, and sky, and sadness.\"?
Wow! It\'s hard to believe that so few words in your poem can stir so much emotion. It must be that a central nerve has been awakened. Every comment will now expound on their chose of color for their emotions. You have stirred the hornets nest.- Phil A.
