One day whilst heartbroken my heartbreaker said to me \"life\'s a bitch, and then you die\" which was rather unkind I thought but as the years deepen the scars of time across me I have reasoned the truth within those words. Yes, life can be a bitch but somehow we struggle through, breathing, walking, doing all the boring things we don\'t care to think about whilst cussing all and everything around us. Blinded by our frame of mind. Until one day a ray of sunshine lights the beauty of someone\'s written words. Here on MPS it\'s happened for me. Reading someone\'s capture of a part of that beauty all around us which I have been taking for granted. Something wonderful in the way it lives through the seasons, renewing life. A wonderful picture closed to my frame of mind began to open now because the things I was reading were there for me to see too if only i had the eyes to see them. But of course i do have those eyes, temporarily blinded to beauty maybe, but i began to see as if \"through a glass darkly\" (to coin a phrase). The world is still a beautiful place Dan.

When your words have drifted
Still the poetry is so poignant
Wonder when it comes back
What fireworks will it crackle
Loved these lines-
“ Writing for my future from my past destiny, keeping the flow of the present in harmony ”
The essence of life it seems
Well penned dear poet

You have moved on so far in your life Dan, it is such a shame to see you slide back. Look at the good things that you have found in your life and bring them to the fore.

So sorry to read youve been feeling down my buddy. Blame it on the misery of winter and this pandemic thing..... try to get your head around looking forward to spring. How is that beautiful little daughter of yours??? No, i\'m not forgetting the other beautiful daughter or her brother who\'s probably into all sorts of mischief between the two of them.

Keep writing for us Dan, you know its a necessary outlet rather than bottling it up inside. You know you have lots of supporting friends here and we want to read your words as regularly as you can please. Apart from self help, you are a great help to others here through your fearless honesty.
Respect.

\'Love may not of expired but existence is numb
No fire to absorb the sodden focused thoughts

A river of denial to an oceans unsecured floor
Embedded in the pressure from responsibilities shore\'..

wise words indeed, sometimes
fleeting be the theme, to life
and yet, I can close my eyes
and still remember that scent
of a perfect day at the beach
from childhood\'s memory reels, while
I can\'t recall what I was doing
this time last week, maybe
we have more choice: than we think...
(a wonderfully nostalgic depiction
of how quickly that guaranteed change, in existence
warps our sense of fulfilment)
a great write!
thanks for sharing dear Poet

I don’t know what your going through
But as long as, your on way of healing, it’s a relief
Happy healing dear poet
Hope we find our passion soon

Great pictures Dan, That little beauty is growing up fast... now to the poetry....

Take it as it comes, It never lasts for long, it changes or is gone or something out of the blue changes you.
I\'d like to sit by the ocean and watch it\'s consistency. Once again absorbing insignificance... but i\'m housebound just now, health reasons
