I feel the anger and frustration of the way in which he died in the poem Brian. Thanks for reminding us of how fortunate we are on this Good Friday.

Well done indeed! I love how you always are bringing new forms of poetry to MPS! You know, I have never shared an umbrella with a guy? You make it look so romantic! You call it a brolly? Thats neat. I keep one in my car, but it\'s surely not as fancy as yours! Great poem! Hugs-Christina

Oh yes, least hint of rain, I have a brolly with me, or a coat with a hood. I look pessimistic. Some days it turns out blazing sun, and me with brolly, looking like a lemon! A fine write. I\'m in a tizzy with me metres in me hymn-poems! Am I?! heehee.

Back in the day when it was de rigour to wear suit and tie to work I too had a black umbrella. I still have a large umbrella given to me back in the late seventies by a contractor that worked for our firm, from the day he gave it to me it has resided in the boot(s) of my cars and never been used but it is still there \'just in case\'.
Good write.

Ah, you remind me of the parasol my Aunt gave me when I was little! Great idea for a poem Brian!

Looks to be quite a challenge keeping it co-syllabic but this is great example. In my early career in the City a rolled umbrolly was an essential piece of the male dress - yes I carried one along with dark jacket and pin striped trousers - err no I didn\'t carry them as well - I wore them. Grief - this dates me!!

Thanks Brian. This shows your true faith. It occurred to me again, how that \'religion\' in itself caused the troubles to start - though all as Scripture foretold. Of course, Christianity is one religion, but not hypocritical, etc as the Pharisees. They got Jesus\' stern words - you snakes. etc!

A fine write. Erm, I know most of the 60\'s songs on \'heartbeat\'. I sort of lost touch with Top of the Pops around 1990. But that\'s recent for me, seeing I\'m millions of years old, so I say. So is Goldie. Well, we both ramble on about \'1066 and all that\'. In my case, 1066 and all that rubbish! lol.
