This poem struck a cord with me. I guess because of the sullen words, but nevertheless I loved it!

poetboy, nicely penned, a flame as metaphor of a dying love, broken promise, or friendship. I like it.

Start Living
Poetic Dan said:
Amazing work, no one can do it but plenty can help guide you, to live or to remain a ghost.
I find it\'s best to drift into both or stay in the middle watching from above or below. Inspired me already!

Twilight
Gary Edward Geraci said:
You\'re a warrior to keep this beast cornered for \"the millionth\" time - talk about spiritual warfare! One simply cannot underestimate how pleasing this is to our Lord. The kind of struggle you describe does not go unnoticed in the realm of the supernatural. I wish you continued strength my fellow soldier. I enjoyed the imagery and the meter.

Game of Life

Now you\'ve altered it and its a whole different ballgame. The original was much better. And just cos i made that literal observation, it doesn\'t have to mean your original was invalid my friend. My interpretation was in MY head not yours. I\'m trying to give you faith and confidence in your work here.

Erm, correct me if i\'m wrong but those who HAVE lived are no longer in the game of life. The past tense of live equates to \'died\'.

We Are All Blind, For We Are Human
Poetic Dan said:
I hope you don\'t mind but like I said your great work of art is outstanding and made me think of these lines;
So we burn a little sage and write poetry
Wiser than the enemy will ever be
The minority
And authority
Are you here to protect or arrest me?
I can’t tolerate the hate, and I\'m losing sleep
Can’t breathe, cause they’re choking out a war in me
Immorality
The song is called love letters to god, by m.f.t.p.
thanks again

PB, very good writing about a very difficult theme. You did Mr. Longfellow proud! The world is ruled by fear and greed, and war is the ultimate expression of that. This sounds very simplistic, and I may be wrong, but I do believe that there would not be any wars anymore if we could rid the world of fear and greed.

A fine expression of western civilizations disgust of war. Oh that it were oh so simple. Oh that war were not one huge profit making opportunity for the arms salesman. Very provocative write!

To See Light
Augustus said:
Inspirational for those who feel down and out, that from some where even after being burned to a crisp we can come back even stronger. I read your bio. At 14 I could not write a decent sentence. Kudos young man.

Nice rhyme and rhythm PB! I discerned two types of light in your poem. One in the form of a smothering and destructive fire and the other in beckoning light that leads. There is no confusion in which one is chosen.
